Some aspects of LD support needs reviewing

Both my children have a learning disability and in terms of support for this, the communication methods used by staff to patients need reviewing more regularly to ensure patient needs are being met. Also the role of parents/carers should be considered more often especially as the patient reaches the age of 18. The practice could also consider whether male or female nurses are paired with male and female patients to make certain discussions easier. This said, the surgery send out reminders to both me and my children about their appointments and reviews which is helpful.
