Was great, has gone downhill

I have been a patient at this surgery for decades (including at the old site with the legends Dr Newman, DrChen and Dr Waterhouse) and I have always praised the service. Unfortunately I feel like the surgery has gone downhill which is such a shame. The 8am lottery is stressful and if you ring after the receptionists cannot fit you in. I was told off by the reception team for contacting after 9am with sudden chest pain and when I saw the dr they told me off too. I didn’t want to trouble the 999 service if it was just my breakfast causing indigestion. As an elderly patient I struggle with technology and prefer face to face appointments as it takes me a little while to reach to answer the phone. Sometimes they do ring you back, Dr Prentice always tries again which is very appreciated. I miss the good old days but I do like the new building- very spacious and airy and my wife can fit her wheelchair in very easily
