No thought given to neurodivergent people

Having to call up or leave a message for an on the day appointment is generally not doable for a lot of neurodivergent people, and I am speaking as someone with both autism and ADHD. Sudden changes in my daily plans causes distress, so I need to plan in advance. After some damage to my knee some months ago and it not really fully healing and then being made worse again, I want to see someone, but can't deal with this system. There are other personal issues I want to speak to a doctor about, but again, the same problem applies. You're not able to book an appointment in advance anymore and that can be debilitating for neurodivergent folk who don't have carers or any support in place because we're deemed "high-functioning" rather than being treated as individuals on a spectrum. It's not the doctors themselves I have a problem with; just the system itself.
