Waste of time seeing the Nurse Practitioner

I had an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner, I waited 35 minutes as she was running behind. I was sat in the chair less than 3 minutes to be told there was nothing she could do and I would need to come back to see the GP. Nurse Practitioners in other surgeries can refer directly to hospital but not here apparently. I had to be rebooked to see a locum GP, who immediately referred me to see a dermatologist. I found this frustrating as I had requested to see the GP originally, to be told the Nurse Practitioner would be able to treat me and refer me as needed. This clearly was not the case and it was a waste of my time as I had to come back to see the GP weeks later. The experience was frustrating!!
