The wait was too long

We arrived in A and E because my wife had injured her shoulder. It turned out it was broken but we were not seen for ages. We arrived just after 1pm and didn't leave until after 7am the following morning and much of that time was waiting. After we checked in we were triaged by a nurse and then left to wait for ages. We watched lots of people come in after us and get seen before. They didn't seem to appear to be in any more distress than my wife. We did ask at the reception desk and they told us we had to wait because there were other people to be seen first. Due to her injury my wife needed help to use the bathroom and at this point a nurse came to help. From this point onwards the care was exceptional as the nurse immediately got a doctor and my wife was helped. The nurses and doctors were all wonderful and if it wasn't for the wait we would give a 5 star rating.
