Maternity

I decided to have a home birth. After birth I retained my placenta and had to be taken into hospital for a blood transfusion. I did have a named midwife but was happy to be seen by another as it was easier. In my opinion, post-natal care still lacks way behind other elements of maternity services. There aren't enough staff working in post-natal. That is why discharge from wards takes so long.
