Original Feedback for West Pottergate Medical Practice:

1

Made a complaint. Got a letter. leave surgery

I have had terrible service from the reception team, unable to make an appointment without 'telling them what the problem is. Went to the surgery for an appointment. Pressed bell, waited for ages. Was asked to wear a mask to which I explained both myself and my daughter, who also had an appointment, were excempt because of medical conditions. I was told by a health care assistant, if we dont wear a mask we cant come in. I asked if I was being denied treatment because I cant wear a mask and reminded her this was discrimation. My daughter , who is 14 felt bullied and agreed to wear the mask eventhough she has asthma. I still declined and I was told my appointment would be cancelled and my daughter will be taken into the surgery with out me. Eventually I was offered a face covering as a visor which I was happy to wear. I completed electronic feedback how poor my experience was rated 3/10 and mentioned possible discrimination issue, 24 hours later I receive a letter to state I am out of their catchment area (despite being with the service for over 10 years) and my whole family now must find a new GP surgery. Formal Complaint being made and I will take this further to the Care Quality Commission, and the Health Minister. interesting they have not been inspected yet. not such an effective, responsive caring or well led organisation at the minute. I would also argue, making my daughter wear a face mask was unsafe! So thats all of the current Key lines of enquiry breached!C
