Original Feedback for West Pottergate Medical Practice:

Doctor Extremely Rude

I've been struggling with some sort of illness/issue with my self for while and when having contacted the medical practice to arrange for an appointment. I received an over the phone chat with one of the doctors. A few days ago I had called up 111 and the operator said they would have a GP doctor contact me to discuss these problems further to try and figure out what was wrong. My chat with this doctor was lovely. He said that the symptoms are concerning and that he would send a note of our conversation to my medical practice. Upon picking up the doctor's phone call, he proceeded to say that my symptoms (which were, stabbing pain in what feels like kidneys, Erectile Disfunction, feeling tired all the time, blurred vision, light headedness and constipation, with the only one making sense tonsillitis which lasted and cleared in the space of 5 days) were covid related and that I had been in before about these problems and all tests had come back as nothing was wrong with me. Having understood what he said I explained that these issues and symptoms had only been getting worse and that I understand maybe the blood test (which were used to test Liver function, bilirubin levels and blood sugar levels), urine test and stool test came back with positive news but the issue still remained. What was actually wrong with me hadn't yet been figured out. The doctor then decided to lash out at me over the phone and said "I'm not putting up with this crap, I've had a long and busy day" and then proceeded to say that my health seems to be fine by what they have found in the test they did. As if to say it wasn't serious and I was completely fine. I find that this behaviour from a qualified GP doctor is unacceptable and unprofessional. He didn't seem to have the interest of helping me, just to dismiss my symptoms and finish his day. This isn't the first time I have received an over the phone call with him, where he acted and spoke in a very similar tone with similar intensions. As a patient I feel like my health is not a concern of his and he wants to just do the bare minimum and prescribe something to be able to dismiss me. After I told him that I'm not here to argue and that I just want to find out what is wrong with he ended the call by telling me to get a PCR test done and prescribed some medication for one of the symptoms, and that we would have a catch up in a weeks time or so. Now it's not to say all the doctors at this practice are like this, some of them are very nice a polite and seem to be working there with interest to better the peoples health in the community. But this incident I find unacceptable.
