I like it here, the staff are lovely.
I've been here a little while now. I came first on a temporary basis and I'm now here permanently.

I have a lovely room and I'm pleased with that. The staff are lovely.

The food is a bit doggy, sometimes it's not cooked properly, the chicken is over done. I don't like it when they cut the meat up I prefer it in slices, so I think the food could be better.

I like it here. I'm having my hair done today. I enjoy the biscuits and all the food.

They look after us well
I have no complaints about anything. I'm quite happy here, I have a nice room and the food is good.

The staff are lovely and always very helpful. They are very kind and polite, they look after us well.

I can't think of anything that would make it better. If I was looking for something like the cherry I would say change it for a strawberry! It's all good and I have no complaints.

I like some of the activities
I don't like being on my own and there are lots f people here. Some of them get on my nerves but it's okay. I don't like to ask sometimes as there are lots of older people here than me. We all need help. I like some of the activities.

It's a lovely place
There's nothing wrong with the home but when you have health problems you want to be with people you know, your family. There's nothing wrong with the care but I wish they'd cut the heating down in the bedrooms.

You don't need it this time of the year. I don't know if I can have my heater turned down.

The staff are brilliant, they're very good. It's a lovely place.

If I had a problem I'd go to the office I've got no worries about talking to them. We have marvellous food, it's always been g
... reat.

I like some of the activities. It would be nice to have a bus trip out to do something different.

I don't like the fence. I used to speak to people going by, it's like your link to the world.

They got scared when I stood on the bottom bit so I could speak to somebody and now they've made it higher and I can't see. I wish there was holes in there so I could still see people.

I don't want to be here, I want to be with my family, but as residential care I'd say it's the best.

I like my room
I've been here around a year and I've got the best room in the place, I can see the school kids play on the grass. A lot of the things in the room are from my home.

I do like it here except for when the dementia ones start screaming at night but you can't change that. The staff can't help that, they just have to guide them back to their beds.

It can take them a long time to come in the night after I've pressed the buzzer when a resident with dementia has come in and the person has gone by th
... e time they get here but that can't be helped. You just have to be gentle with the person and kind to the staff.

The staff are very good, they're just a bit over-run. Sometimes you have new ones and I try to help them by telling them where everything is.

The food's OK. I've got diabetes so I have to trust that it's OK for me as at home I used to read all the labels but I've had my eye checks recently and I'm all clear so it must be under control.

I prefer to be in my room in my own space rather than in the lounge but I do like to be taken down when the school children and babies visit. I miss cuddling babies.

I like going to the seafront when I go out with my children. I like the singing when people come in and it would be nice to have that more often.

I'm glad they've moved on from singing the old wartime songs now!
