Reciv
Contacted drs regarding need for prscrition as going away ,recieved 2 messages one next day and another the following stating it had been recieved and would contact me when ready then the next day received message stating prescrition was ready for collection ,so went to collect .Huge queue ,very slow service finaly my turn only to be told this was not the case, explained i had received text ,to which the assistant stated it must of been a glitch in system .when i explained i had to go away and th ... at is why i need it filled, they stated that it will be done tomorrow some time after 11 .I will not be able to collect it as i had stated was going away. Also recently someone took it upon themselves to change the brand of levothyroxine which was not corrected for some time .Also when i collected my precripton last month ,i asked if everything was there as i have had problems with missing items previously .I t was stated its all there ,only to find out when i returned home things missing forcing me to return for the remainder of my precrition and then after leavi g pharmacy recieving a call stating i had something else to collect ,meaning 3 visits in one day.Having a serious lung condition ,this took its toll om me healthwise. I have also found some members at times to be unhelpful verging on rude when dealing with myself and other members of the public and a lack of please and thankyou .This pharmacy has over the last year in my opinion changed from friendly and very effient outlet to it feels like no longer worki g in the publics interest ,more of a case of as we see fit. That said there is one pharmacist who depicts what this pharmacy used to be .She is friendly always with a smile & very helpful ,nothing too much trouble .Some of the staff could learn alot from this lady in how to take pride in what you do and how to treat people as you would expect to be treated

Poor dispensing arrangements
A repeat prescription was not ready 9 days after being sent electronically from the GP. Not so long ago the turnaround time was 2-3 days. Staff have told me on at least 2 occasions that they are short staffed and that they are ‘a week behind’. They seem to be trying to provide extended services - like vaccinations and Pharmacy First - without being able to cope with the basic function of dispensing medicines in a timely fashion. Students, who seem to be poorly briefed, are often on the front ... desk. This is not fair on them. Why did Boots close the pharmacies on Colman Rd and at UEA if this remaining one can’t cope?

Excellent service here, regular pharmacist and staff.
Excellent all round service, and advice from the team. Always friendly and now use the vaccination service and medical service to avoid the surgery for minor issues. Regular staff and pharmacists means they know the village and has made all the difference to the service.

Wonderful care
Having felt ill for sometime wiht flu I contacted the pharmacist who was wonderfully caring. Within 30 minutes he was able to help me and I already feeling much better with the medicine he recommended. A wonderful system thank you and no waiting to see a doctor.

Never ready
Give the pharmacy at least a week, but medicines are never ready. Long queues.Took four visits to collect everything prescribed. Looks chaotic- students rummaging through boxes of stuff on the floor. Really bad for elderly people with mobility problems.

Terrible service and liars
I recently had to get medication for a shoulder issue which was giving me excruciating pain. I was told that the pain killers that were prescribed were unavailable and I had to wait a week to get them. The pain killing medication prescribed was not working so the Dr prescribed me oral morphine due to the extreme pain I was in. I went to the Hethersett Boots pharmacy 3 times, the first 2 times I was told that they had not printed off the days prescriptions and to call back. On the third occasion ... and after waiting in queue for 30 minutes I was informed that they had no Oramorph. I immediately complained that that was not good enough and that it was my third visit to them that day, I also explained that I was in extreme pain and not getting any sleep due to this. On hearing how I was feeling they miraculously produced 50ml of the 100ml the Dr prescribed. My issue here is that as a fully qualified Pharmacist surely if a patient has been prescribed an oral morphine medication then isn't it obvious that they must be in extreme pain and should they not be aware of this?, (if the Pharmacist could not understand the medication was needed for extreme pain then they need to find another career) so why lie saying there was none of this medication available. Is it because they think you are not important enough? or do they have a God complex? My Wife had issues with this branch every month when needing to get her Mum's medication and I have previously had issues with this branch also. I will never use their services again as I feel that they lied to me regarding my urgently needed medication.

Dissatisfied
Went into the pharmacy today for someone to look at my daughters skin condition behind her ears, showed the man on the counter (who was lovely) and he said he needed to talk to the pharmacist, which he did and anti allergy medication was suggested! I said it wasn’t a allergy and how would he know with out seeing it, so the man went off again to see if the pharmacist would look, he basically refused to look at my daughter and hid behind the counter, and said for us to go to the wall in centre! ... I had driven a way to get there today so not at all pleased with the customer service. Went to roundwell pharmacy and the pharmacist looked straight away at it and prescribed steroid cream! Which Boots could have helped with In the first place and took the whole of 1 minute for her to assess! Boots you really should have done better.
