Outstanding Receptionist!!!
My husband and I are looking to relocate to Holt and have been sactive the past 5 months researching all aspects, including medical services e.g doctors, optitions and dentists.

As NHS patients, finding an NHS dentist to transfer to have provided problematic, until we become aware of Bridge Street Dental Surgery. We have been liaising with Amanda (receptionist) who has been so pleasant to deal with, really helpful, informative and always had time for us.

Yesterday, we were placed on a waitin
... g list to become new patients at the surgery. Amanda has been outstanding and is a credit to the surgery.

Excellent Dental Surgery
This Dentist is a great practice, always have had good care by the wonderful friendly staff. The dentist has been very helpful when I had trouble with a abscess infection. I highly recommend this practice.

Will not provide emergency care
NHS 111 have advised me that this practice are registered with them to provide emergency care and should be providing this service, however they cannot do so ,I have instigated a complaint with the Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group .

I am sympathetic with their lack of availability but they are being paid to provide emergency care which they are not able to provide

Still in pain and have been for 8 months.
I couldn’t be seen despite having broken a premolar in half and, as usual, all of the temporary fillings I keep having refilled and refilled with temporary fillings - again and again and again (no wonder they can’t fit in many patients as the same ones are always there having their temporary fillings replaced!). My mouth is so painful, not as with an abscess but extreme pain from hot and cold and just constant pain.

I rang, and was triaged a week later in mid AUGUST and told I’d get a ca
... ll the next day. Mid OCTOBER I’d still heard nothing so nervously rang and got an appointment for 12 DECEMBER - four months in pain.

Still, I lost half a stone because can’t eat properly so at least my clothes feel looser! I have ‘proper’ fillings at gum level in some of my teeth put there by another dentist and they’ve been there since the mid 80s. And I keep having to pay for fillings that ALWAYS come out a day or two later (I think one lasted a week once).

And I never get my teeth polished or stains on the back that show through to the front even though I’ve asked for this and think I also pay for this. My friend also has to constantly have her temporary fillings replaced.

For years, with my previous dentist, I only went once a year. At this practice, pre-pandemic, it was every six months and I stopped returning in between checkups to have the temporary fillings replaced after a while.

My dentist is such a nice person but I don’t know what this temporary filling business is all about?

Saved my life
The dentists are excellent and happened upon an illness that my GP didn't have a clue. The referral following the diagnosis saved my life.

Telephone Problems
It took a day and a half of trying before I got through to request an appointment. However, once this was acheived I received good service and the two extractions and filling that I needed were efficiently dealt with.

Is it possible that the surgery would consider a ring-back service, which would do away with constantly being met with the engaged signal? Also, it would facilitate communication further if emailing were possible..... I realised the day after treatment that, possibly distracted b
... y the Covid-induced restrictions, I had not requested a receipt so that I can reclaim the cost from my insurer.

I am now faced with the prospect of trying to get through on the phone to request one. Obviously, I appreciate that my experience is to a large extent the result of Covid restrictions and I laud the surgery for following the rules, however, I feel that in a crisis, communication is vital and easier lines of communication could help.

Totally unhelpful
I lost a crown on a back tooth and was told to glue it back on myself, which was impossible as I had also lost some of the tooth. There appears to be a complete lack of will to see patients and to put measures in place so this can happen , so I have had to go privately.

I have since been seen and treated in a very safe environment. Very disappointed by the “no can do” attitude at Bridge Street and the unpleasantness of the reception staff.

Can't get an appointment
The dentists can't see anyone - I was told to phone back in January for a routine appointment unless you're in significant pain
