It was so refreshing that the first dialogue was how I was, how I was coping, rather than how is your husband(who I care for)
Patient, professional with no condescension, made me feel there is hope out there

My phone call with Tom was very informative and helpful, he spent a hour on the phone trying to find the best way for me to go forward, he was also a very good listener and made me feel relaxed talking to him.

First use of service many details explained to both myself as carer and iclusive wiwith my husband .Jane made me feel valued even wnilst struggling

I was referred to Carers matter to give me a break as I am my mums main carer. They have been amazing even though my mother refused the assessment it was nice to feel that somebody cared about me having a break.

I have just completed my carer plan. I can’t say enough about how the staff have helped me in the early days of learning to be a carer. Also means a lot of the, reassurance by Karen that they are always there when I am struggling. Thank you.

I'd phoned and spoke to Tom I was quite desperate and distressed at the start of the call ,spoke to Tom and my goodness I was laughing by tbe end.
Tom had such patience and more importantly took tbe time listening and finding answers, turning my negative and feeling 'left on my own coping',and desperate almost cry for help into feeling positive and feeling that tberes help and advice the otber end of tbe line and more resources out tbere ,as my husbands 'case's had been signed off by two ... support professionals in the last few days as "their work was done " leaving me his carer feeling frightened and desperately alone going further in to the unknown, dementia journey.
Cant praise enough.

The lady who phoned listened to me and gave constructive advice and was very sympathetic to my circumstances. She was extremely supportive and this was most appreciated. The on going advice was very helpful.

Tom was very helpful and friendly. He took the time to find out what I already knew about then pointed me to other things that might be useful.
