Hellesdon Medical Practice

I had a fall a few weeks ago and had to attend A&E. I had X-rays at the hospital. A few days later I had a follow up appointment with my lovely usual GP and she suggested that a needed another X-ray which was arranged within a few days.

Unfortunately if I had t of looked on the NHS app I wouldn’t have known that I needed to discuss the outcome with my GP. I rang the surgery and the not so friendly receptionist who said that I couldn’t have a phone appointment as the doctors are far too ... busy. I already had an appointment booked for a date on April and considering I am a lot of pain from my fall, they won’t see before the middle of April. I only go to the surgery if I need to.

Just wanted to say the standard of care has always been high. Despite being busy, they followed up really well, and did lots of tests and ended up finding a serious condition and referring me to a specialist at the hospital. If it wasn't for this proactive care, I'd still not have known and could have ended up in a much worse condition and prognosis.

My partner’s just been advised to give up smoking in an appointment. She was very upset as she’s tried many times and has found it difficult.

On the way home what do we see?! Two of your staff smoking and one of them showing off the tattoos all over their body. I know people have them and I know people smoke.

And I know it’s up to them! But this is supposed to be the NHS! There is a time and a place. Not professional at all.

Now she doesn’t want to give up smoking because she think ... s this surgery promotes smoking. It feels that the appointment was a total lie.

They know me and my situation which is good. I get through on the phone and can get seen on the same day. I have no complaints at all.

I have always found the Hellesdon Medical Practice receptionists to be so helpful and willing to make things work for you. They work so hard for us patients; it must be a constant challenge for them.

This morning I was call number 26 looking to book an appointment today. When I was connected the receptionist apologised and said there were none currently, but try later as there maybe some more released.

In the meantime a routine appointment was in March which she booked as back stop. I rang l ... ate this morning and now have an appointment face to face with a GP at 1.

Generally speaking they are very good. They initiate my yearly check up. Sometimes the doctors are difficult to see but that's fine, I see a nurse. If I really need to see a doctor then I can see one eventually.

I have known Dr Tolley for many years and he is a great doctor. He listens to your problems and explains in detail to help you understand the medical treatment. Very easy to talk to and makes you feel at ease.

My Dad has terminal cancer and I can not fault Hellesdon Medical practice. Everyone involved in the practice and his care has been great.

I got home at 4.55 and my Dad was struggling to go to the toilet so I phoned the surgery and they prescribed him what he needed straight away and I had the medication by 6.

15. He had a home visit from Dr Javid and my Dad need 5 testchecks he did them all and was honest and reassuring with him.

They have been so good with his care and if I could give them ... 20 stars I would.

I have lived in Norwich for 2 years with Hellesdon medical practice being my Gp and as somebody that uses them regularly, as does my husband, we really cannot fault the service. I have found the healthcare staff to always be extremely thorough, efficient and kind and the admin staff have gone above and beyond for our family on more than one occasion.

Definitly the best GP practice I have been with by far. I’ve never had to wait too long for my appointment and have never found it difficult to ... make an appointment either.

Just want to praise ALL the staff at Hellesdon medical practice for their continued hard work . always helpful, always trying , .Most people just don't see or know what goes on behind the scenes in a doctors . There is always many hidden HEROES in all doctors . Thanks Again
