... , just a serious strain and given pain killers. The receptionist organised a taxi home for me. I was reassured by the hospital but really can't afford the £140 that the 2 taxi rides cost me. Why did 111 see it as so much more urgent than the hospital triage?
... g me"He won't hurt you" perhaps he wouldn't but I didn't know that. All I was aware of that I was stuck because at that time my legs wouldn't move and I could not get out of chair or bed without help. This poor man may have had dementia but he wondered all the time. He even stood in the corridor and waved goodbye when I left. I just did not feel safe. I am in my 80s and have only had my husband of 57 years in my bedroom. Consequently the have written on my discharge letter that I suffer from anxiety.
Kindest most courteous people I've ever come across, they make you feel at ease. Absolutely tremendous group of people. The environment is spotlessly clean, they have everything needed to meet my needs.
I can't fault Dr Butler in the upstairs clinic, he's brilliant, he's done 2 operations for me and they were both great. I've had 2 appointments this week and I can't fault them. The receptionist rings me with any cancellations and I've built a relationship with her.
I chose to go there to have my knee done as the waiting list was shorter than Norwich. I was well looked-after, it was fantastic, I was given all the right information.
I was in for two nights and the food was alright. The new ward for elective surgeries is great, it's all single rooms with en-suite.
I have to give them a five!
The staff were mocking me, I was in for 10 nights and I wasn't offered any clothes until the last day. It shocked me, I felt like they weren't believing what I was saying to them. It really surprised me as I've never had a bad experience before. It wasn't even the junior staff, it was the senior members of staff on the ward. Their bedside manner really wasn't nice
Everybody is so kind, they help you on and off of the bed. They talk to you the whole time and explain everything, and they book appointments ahead of time.
The oncologist checks to see if my tablets are working and if they aren't she'll change them. They're always on time, very friendly, they answer any questions you might have. I can't fault them in anyway.
Brilliant, I've had 2 operations and the after care is absolutely brilliant. I have a chest infection and the GP referred me for an urgent X-ray on the Monday and I had the X-ray on Tuesday.
I was there a few months ago as I was in and out with my wife at the end of her life. They are an incredible bunch, what they do is unbelievable. They let me stay from 8am until 11pm most days and had a bed for me if I wanted to stay, and even fed me when I wasn't looking after myself. I've got no complaints. They are wonderful people and they do an amazing job.
