Everything works
They are very good. Professional, straightforward and they get on with the job. It's all painless and everything works.

Very good service
My wife and I have been with the same dentist for 28 years and the service has always been good. Recently we have been seen by a trainee dentist, meaning that we get the most up-to-date treatments.

Zero stars
I had my check-up cancelled during Covid and then an email to say my dentist had left. After that I was emailed to say I'd been struck off as I hadn't had an appointment! I can't afford to go private so now I just have no dentist.

Doing their best in difficult circumstances
I managed to access a dentist recently as they had taken on somebody new. However, before that I had a dental emergency and the practice advised me to call daily but I couldn't ever get an appointment and I felt I had no choice but to go private where the treatment quality was better too.

There's an unfair fee structure for NHS dentists, they should receive the same as private. I think services should be nationalised, and that you should be able to get treatments from any practice in the regio
... n to ease waiting lists.

Overall the practice has a bad system for accessing appointments but they're doing the best they can in very, very difficult circumstances.

Happy Smiles Club is wonderful!
I visited Maria in the Happy Smiles Club to see if she could help my son get used to the dentist. He has ASD and is non verbal and amazingly she could sign Makaton! She also gave me some really good visuals and we have a plan to work on his confidence moving forward.

He even sat on the chair and let her look in his mouth. Thank you for being so patient and amazing with him.

We are looking forward to visiting you again.

Extreme delays
I've been a patient here for 20byears and always had good treatment however they are not doing well post covid. My regular 18 month check up was due in December 2020.

As of April 2022 the practice had only caught up to June 2020 so clearly an appointment is not imminent. Meanwhile I have now lost 2 fillings.

I April I got an 'emergency' appointment for a temporary filling in mid June. Luckily I am not in pain but my teeth are clearly deteriorating without attention.

I appreciate that the p
... ractice is doing its best and this seems to be a national problem. Both my adult children, who I carefully took to all their appointments throughout childhood, are unable to get a private or NHS dentist in their new locations.

Government desperately needs to take action to address this dentistry crisis

Superb service just no NHS spaces
I was able to get an emergency extraction during the pandemic. Unfortunately when I got to the practice I had to walk upstairs which was difficult for me since I'd been suffering with vertigo due to the infection in my tooth.

They were very good once I'd got there. I'm just desperate to be able to go back to an NHS dentist.

Everything they did at this dentist was superb though.

Struggle to get NHS dental appointment
I can't work out why it's impossible to get an NHS dentist locally? My son is on universal credit so it exempt from paying for dental appointments. He's needing a tooth out.

He had an appointment booked but just before the appointment it was cancelled. We've been given an appointment a few times but just before the date they cancel it.

Sometimes they only give us a day's notice and don't rebook the appointment when they cancel it. I think the last time I had a check was three years ago.

I
... don't know why we should have to go private? We've worked all our lives and paid our taxes towards it. We live in Gorleston and can't afford to travel elsewhere to go to the dentist.

Ruined my tooth
Whilst having a simple filling replaced that had fallen out the dentist fell right through my tooth which meant I had to have a ground. When the crown was fitted it was too tight so he felt down way too far.

In the end it looks like a flat tree stump you could see all of the rings. Just doing the preparation for the crown he cut into my gum.

I shouldn’t of felt this because I was numb but it was that invasive that I did there was a lot of blood. There should not be blood when you’re prep
... aring for a crown.

That took three years to recover and I would say it still hasn’t fully recovered. To then go back and be told by another dentist it’s not that tooth it’s hurting it’s one on the top is absolutely ridiculous I know my teeth he would not touch the tooth because he didn’t believe it was causing me a problem.

The crown fell off and another dentist had to put a metal post into my shell of a tooth through to the route. I now have a metal post which really isn’t necessary if the first Dentist hadn’t filed my tooth and shattered it to pieces.

Use that as an excuse saying when you take the Crown off teeth can shatter. This was not mentioned at the appointment and my tooth was structurally sound.

I don’t believe for a second this is what happened. I’ve put a complaint in to the head of the business and was just spoken to by the two dentists who denied any wrongdoing.

I now suffer so bad with this tooth that my new dentist who is fantastic has said we will have to do very invasive treatment to keep a crown on from now on. I would’ve had the tooth taken out but unfortunately there was a failed root canal after six attempts on the other side of my mouth that after two weeks of pure torture and no dentist wanting to take it out I had to get it out in the end.

As a result of the other tooth I now have stomach problems and cannot take ibuprofen because I was left in agony for two full weeks overdosing on it. Really was horrendous care course of a few years at plumbers Great Yarmouth.
