I act on behalf of my husband who uses this GP practice. They are always approachable this includes all the surgery staff. They are very helpful and caring.
There is a longish wait for non urgent appointments but easily obtained on the day for emergencies.
... upon months to get back to a separate clinic at all, and both that clinic and myself have had to repeatedly badger them into corresponding - not great when the clinic was trying to offer me mental health support and couldn't til the GP approved.
Trans healthcare is also pitiful, but I want to give some benefit of the doubt because the team were clearly very inexperienced. I had to walk over to my doctor's screen and point at my gender dysphoria diagnosis, which had been sitting on my record for six months, for them to register it existed, but they were very apologetic and did at least offer to update my pronouns on my record for me, which was nice. Shame they've been sitting on my HRT prescription for six months, and I only just now heard back from 'em and it pretty much amounted to a 'maybe'.
We need a bigger health facility. They do their best but the premises are outdated and too small. I'm worried because of all the new housing being built. You can't get appointments now, you can't even get a telephone appointment, unless you call on the dot at 8.30.
It also gets me that receptionists ask you what's wrong and sometimes it's personal.
This is my first visit and it's been really good. It's nice to have a doctor who takes the time to listen to you. They were reassuring. I phoned this morning and got an appointment today.
My appointment with the nurse was brilliant, she gave me some advice and I knew what to do. My wife's experience is not as good.
You ring at 8.30 and you're 30th in the queue so we've come in together today.
She's in pain and not sleeping from it and they've given her a phone appointment for the 30th (25 day's time).
They're fine. I don't like the phoning system for appointments. You have to ring at 8am and quite often you end up giving up after an hour. On the whole I understand it's the same wherever you go. Once I get through they're very good.
They do me well, I can't fault them. Whenever I phone up I always get an appointment.
They've been really accommodating for the time being, they're supportive. I'm a new patient but it's good so far.
If you ring up you're twelfth in the queue so I came in today and booked for three week's time. I have three-monthly injections which I have to wait to book when the staff rotas are made, but I do manage to get these on time.
Sometimes it's hard to get an appointment for my child who's two-and-a-half so I end up going to A&E. Sometimes they send me to the pharmacy to get her ears checked which isn't easy at her age.
The last time we waited there over an hour. For me, I was prescribed something two weeks ago and I'm still not well.
