Notably unhelpful in filling an urgent private prescription. Doctor needed to rewrite on local scrip but only on an “admin slot” of which none were available
Having had a consultation with a heart specialist who advised starting to take Bisoprolol immediately to help slow a very fast heart rate. He gave me a prescription for 2 weeks supply.

I of course went straight to my local surgery's pharmacy only to be told that there was a procedure which it appears would take days to complete involving rewriting the Spire prescription on NHS scrip and having it approved by a doctor in one of their "admin slots" of which none were available. I was understanda
... bly anxious already and being told that I needed to drive a 24 mile return to have the Spire prescription filled by a commercial pharmacy when I could see the drug on a shelf in the Litcham pharmacy was extremely frustrating and did not help my already heightened anxiety.

I did drive to the commercial pharmacy and will be able to start taking the bisoprolol today but this is surely not good patient care?

Rude staff
The reception staff are very rude over the phone. I was told one day to book an appointment online if this is easy for me so i did.

I heard nothing within the time frame that is said online. I then called to see if i could have an appointment and i was put back on hold.

When she came back no one had even read my online request and said i would have to call at 8am the next morning. Due to my job i can not do this hence why i use the online service.

... st thing in the morning they don't bother to check the online request. I then carried on to say i have been trying for a long time to get into the surgery with my problem and i was just told once again to call in the morning.

I told her that's fine i would just register with another surgery as this happens far to often in my family trying to get seen at this surgery. She then said 'okay that's fine, bye' and hung up on me.

Receptionist don't seem to care about peoples well-being here.

I am gutted my post code does not allow me to change surgeries so i will have to stick it out with this one but as soon as i can move surgeries i will be out of their!!!!!!! If you can even see a doctor at this surgery it is like gold dust!!!

Nurses and Doctors are lovely
Last week they fitted me in very quickly last week but sometimes it can be a bit tricky to get an appointment and it can be a long wait in the queue at 8am on the phone. The nurses and doctors are lovely, they are attentive and listen.

If they say they are going to call they do. They have a huge workload and not enough time and resource.

Had troubles but they have been resolved.
I have had a bit of trouble in the past but it has all now been resolved. I find it very easy to get an appointment which I do over the phone, if needed you normally get to speak to a doctor in a couple of hours. The nurses are very good and I have no problems with them. The reception team are okay.

It's really good
It's really good I've never had any problems. I'm able to get an appointment, although it can be difficult to get an appointment to see the doctor.

When you call it can be difficult to get through, but once you do, you get an appointment to see the doctor or sometimes a phone call with a doctor. So apart from getting through on the phone it's all good.

You can always get an appointment
It's good, you can always get an appointment and that's true for all of us the children and my husband. You just call and you get an appointment.

The nurses are always on time, but sometimes you can wait a long time in the waiting room to see the doctor, but from my own experience it is only one of the doctors. Once you get in to see the doctor the ones I have seen are all good.

I called at 8am this morning and got an appointment at 11am. I can't fault them at all.

We love it, it so good.
We love it, it's so good. Being able to speak to a doctor or see a doctor on the same day is so good. We think it's better than other surgeries we have been to in the past. The pharmacy service is good too.

I can get an appointment when I need one
I have no complaints. I can get an appointment when I need one to see the doctor. I call and its all fine.

I do feel listened to
I feel my issues are being looked into now, as I am seeing a different doctor. I feel I am being listened to.

The staff are good, when you call and speak to reception they are good, very helpful. I can get in quickly as I need to or I get a telephone call from a doctor and then they make an appointment for me if I need one.

Its generally good but it's not always easy to get an appointment
Overall it is generally good and if I call I can easily get a routine appointment. However sometimes it can be less so.

Recently I called and was put on hold. When I did speak to someone I was told it would be a week before I could see a doctor.

I did make the appointment because I knew I had an infection that needed antibiotics, even though I also knew that a week was really too long to wait. I ended up going online and buying what I needed and cancelling the appointment.

... had the same problem before that it would have been better if I could have had the prescription sooner. Otherwise the staff and the surgery are good.
