Needed advice or an appointment about a long standing chronic condition.Could only get to see a paramedic who did not understand and misdiagnosed and gave wrong meds. Doctor not availabe to ring me for 2 weeks so booked appt 2 weeks hence.Eight Doctors on the surgery staff list and none prepred to talk to patients. What an inconvenience we are !!
In general they do get back to you and get you an appointment although you never see a doctor. You can't book through the NHS app though, you have to go onto their website separately.
There's a problem pushing everybody onto digital access. I saw the receptionist tell a man who was in there to ring her and she talked him through the form. It took about 20 minutes when she could have just booked him in.
The pharmacy seems to have settled down now. I'd say overall they're pretty good.
As someone who works, and is unable to call at 8am to arrange an appointment, it is extremely disappointing that the online booking system for routine appointments is not working
Been suffering with my mental health recently and tried to book an appointment to get help/medication. Took three days for them to come back and advise an appointment has been made with the mental health practitioner…that appointment was two week later. I called and said that was too long, but “nothing they could “. Absolutely appalling!
... aving.
I'm also concerned about all the new houses being built and how the surgery will cope with the extra patients.
Called at 8:15 on the dot for my 2 year old who has a high temp and has been unwell for a week (have been to walk ins during week due to New Year’s Eve/day) and things aren’t improving. Was told ‘medical emergencies only’ and to take him to the walk in. Ridiculous that a GP will not see a child.
... hates how they look, feel even more worthless! This is disgusting!"
awful. Only available place is Newton Flotman. Put long Stratton surgery search for phone contact number and get on live booking again. So if I don’t find a number I won’t get my blood test as I’m not going to Newton for a 5 min appointment
I think they've done brilliantly with all their trials and tribulations. The new system for prescriptions was very frustrating to start with but I think it's ironed out. Now it's up and running I think it's going to be better.
I can’t believe they still make you call at 8.15. Waited ages for an answer, then no appointments left and told to call another day. And no way to just ask for a routine appointment in a couple of weeks. Such a shame as when I’ve seen them (a nurse and GP) previously they’ve been great.
