... n, meaning that we have to use a centre which is far away and very expensive.
Communications have also not been good. I didn't have an annual review for two years, and when you ask people to get back to you, they often don't.
I wish they would be honest about the situation, and what is actually going to be possible with the money that is available. Rather than telling me that they will get back to me with a solution and then never hearing anything.
They have also stopped the group meetings for people who are using personal budgets, which means there is no support network there, and it is very isolating. The idea of personal budgets is very good, but in practice, it is not working.
They also don't seem to co-produce their decisions any more, which they did in the beginning.

My mother was admitted to hospital following a fall. Her dementia and ongoing mental health needs made her eligible for continuing health care funding.
Her care was all organised with carers in her own home. Everything was taken care of and the service was professional and fantastic.
It made it so easy for her family too.
