... lled. On the 4th the Dr offered antidepressants???? She is on hypertensives and need that increasing. It took an email from her cardiologist to get another box of medicine, but on transferring to the new surgery it seems southgates still know best and did not amend the prescription. I am furious to say the least. If the cannot get one prescription correct what hope is there.
I've got on alright here, the appointments are okay, the dispensary team is very helpful. Just a pleasant atmosphere really. The main thing is that it can be difficult to obtain an appointment within a week. They are quick at approving repeat prescription requests, very efficient.
When you get to see a doctor they are really lovely. For my appointment today I had to wait 6 weeks, but my previous appointment got cancelled so really I've waited around 4/5 months for the appointment. The doctors aren't an issue it's the inaccessibility of the system. I haven't seen the same GP in about 10 years. The check in screen doesn't tell you which waiting room you should go to so you have to ask reception anyway. I do think it's a nice surgery and the translation service is good.
There is too much waiting. Sometimes you have to queue at the reception for a long time 15-20 minutes and I only need a sample bottle.
There are two queues at reception one for English speakers which I have to wait in and another for people who need a translator. When there is no queue for a translator it would be helpful if the person at that desk could help with things like just getting a sample bottle. However the staff are really nice. I prefer to go to the Woottons Surgery if I can.
I had to come in to sort out my fathers prescription as I couldn't get through on the phone. The dispensary driver doesn't allow enough time for my father to answer the door before he leaves. But they have always managed to create appointments for us and accessibility has been good.
The staff are really good and overall the surgery is good but I do have some frustrations.
Getting repeat prescriptions is good but getting an appointment is not quite so easy. Online takes a bit more time but you can't call. The staff are good and helpful.
My main issue is that I am not able to get all the information I need about my condition, I can't get a proper answer to my questions. I would like to speak to someone who has some expertise in my condition.
Dr Delves is wonderful. She is very thorough and very kind, a great doctor. We are very lucky to have her.
Overall the surgery is good.
Getting an appointment for my children is great. I submit the form and I get a response within minutes, it's always amazing.
However for adults it's a very different kettle of fish. The response is much slower and it feels like you are less of a priority.
When you get to the surgery they tend to run late so it can be a long wait in the waiting room but they do apologise when you get in and I have always had good experiences with the actual appointments.
The staff are amazing.
I think the service and such is excellent. They're very very efficient and pleasant.
We're new to the area and finding it good so far. They're very helpful and quick on the mark to sort things out.
