They're pretty good to me
They're pretty good to me, I've been with them for years. When I need to see them I go online to say what I want and they get back to me within a day. I see a COPD doctor there who I think is a specialist.

My recent experience has been poor
I have struggled with the surgery not recording things on my records. I had a scan at the hospital and it took ages for the results to be properly recorded.

It also took a lot of enquiries and prompting from me to get things sorted. It caused me lots of stress.

It took over 6 weeks for the scan results to be recorded properly on my GP records and this delayed a referral. There were lots of conversations between me and the surgery and I was really stressed, at breaking point because I was una
... ble to get the information.

I would like to say that despite this Dr McKenzie is really good and I would give him a 5 star rating.

Much improved
The service has improved since my diagnosis. I think it is better than before.

Awful support systems for trying to book appointments
I used the online system to try and get an appointment. The responses from whoever is on the other end were unhelpful to the extent that I hold a reasonable belief they do not want me bothering them with my issue.

The responses did not even seem to relate to my queries to be honest and they provided woefully insufficient information on what to do to be able to get an appointment.

useless online service in the afternoons
Every time I tried to ask a question to the reception on the online web page after 13.00, it does not give access due to high demand.

I’m thinking of going to the clinic and observing what kind of demand is so high that the patient can’t even ask a question.

By the way, is anyone looking at these reviews? Or is it just for show?

Closed for training between 13:00 and 17:00
What is the point of an online booking service when it only operates when you care to be open. Closed for training between 13:00 and 17:00 yet when I tried to contact you at 11:05, you would not accept my request for an appointment, because you would be closed at 13:00.

Dr Smerdon, amazing
I emailed the surgery and advised of what I needed (having had this particular procedure done previously) they emailed me with an appointment however in the meantime I also needed to add something extra. Dr Smerdon himself, emailed me back to advise he would do the two things together which I was really happy with.

Dr Smerdon was a breath of fresh air, he had old fashioned views and values and didn't speak to me as though I was an idiot. He explained everything in detail and made sure I was co
... mfortable with what he was going to do.

He didn't rush me at all. I am so pleased I've found him and told him so.

I also begged him never to leave the practice as it would be lovely to have a doctor that took the time to know you and made you feel comfortable. He was going to ring me a week later but unfortunately the call back was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances however I know he would have called if he could.

Thank you Dr Smerdon.

Dr Safi, patient and kind.
I had been suffering with some pains in my tummy for over a week and was able to get an appointment at Southgates (although my nearest GP is South Wootton). I saw Dr Safi who was actually 15 minutes early with my appointment, maybe someone wasted his time by not turning up! lucky for me.

Dr Safi was kind and patient. He had read my notes and continued to do so whilst I was in the room.

He didn't rush me and I didn't feel uncomfortable at any time. Between us it was decided on antibiotics (fo
... r an existing condition and it being the 21st Dec).

I also had a blood test. Dr Safi rang me after Christmas to advise of the results and to see how I was, he said if at any stage I was in discomfort or unhappy he would be happy to see me again and not to hesitate in contacting him.

This was a really positive experience as usually you get passed from pillar to post within the surgery. It was actually nice to see a Doctor although I am not ignoring the qualifications of a Practice Nurse.

I am quite happy to offer this feedback as I have been quick to criticise in the past.
