Complaints
I made a written complaint to this practice and followed all their rules. They stopped my diabetes medication without warning.

When I complained about it I was kicked off the register. I no longer have a doctor.

I have tried to get this sorted through all the proper channels but no one is listening, now I am just waiting until I get so ill that I am forced to take a hospital bed.

Excellent
Very good. Excellent in fact. The service I get is very good. I saw a nurse today. It was easy making an appointment. I'm generally happy.

They try their best
They do the best they can in the circumstances, we have a growing population around here and a lot of elderly people. Demand outstrips supply.

It is difficult because they only have on the day appointments. Yesterday there was only one receptionist on and it's too much for one person, elderly patients can't queue for too long.

Today was good for me though, they're very nice and very approachable, and I got everything that I needed.

Fantastic Nurse Experience
I recently took my toddler for his Pre school booster injections. Nurse Michelle Moncur was fantastic, what a lovely, friendly nurse with fantastic bed side manner. She was so kind and really engaged with my little boy. Thank you once again Watton Medical Practice for being great.

Some good staff, condition missed
I told them I didn't feel well and they recommended physio however my arm became so swollen and painful I went to A&E and it was found to be arthritis which I've probably had for years, and physio wouldn't have been the right thing. I had problems with my knees years ago and looking back now that was probably due to arthritis.

I had critical illness cover which ran out in December last year so I'd called the surgery in November to double-check I definitely had no conditions. They said I didn't
... so I let it lapse and then found out I've got arthritis and I'm not covered.

I told the surgery I wanted to complain, a lady spoke to me and said they'd been busy but they're dealing with it. I've not heard anything else from them and it's been months.

Everything is a battle although there are some good staff.

Dear Patient. I am sorry to hear that you have had a poor experience with our practice. This is not what we expect. If you wish to discuss this further please contact me. I wouldn't change surgeries
It's good. They're polite and efficient. If you have a problem they're always helpful, it's never too much of a chore. Sometimes you don't get past the triage but I'm not a doctor! No problems at all with the doctors themselves, I wouldn't change surgeries.

I'm happy with the surgery
I'm happy with the surgery. You've got to get in early on the phone to get an appointment.

You can press number 8 and the phone system will call you back. Sometimes they refer me to Bury or I can get a same day appointment.

The level of care is good. You get informed of what's going on.

With luck my appointments are downstairs.
  • The Breckland Alliance

Thank you for your positive feedback about our care level and communication. We're pleased you find our call-back system (option 8) helpful and that you sometimes secure same-day appointments. Based on patient feedback about appointment timing challenges, we will be implementing an on-the-day appointment system with online same-day requests. Regarding your preference for downstairs appointments, please contact the surgery so we can better accommodate your needs rather than relying on luck! M. Rolph Business Manager

A really good surgery
A really good surgery, really good doctors. It's just the phone thing, really. You have to wait. They will call you back but it's at their discretion. There is nothing wrong on the whole with the level of care. Also, the stairs. Today I had an appointment upstairs. I had to have help.
  • The Breckland Alliance

Thank you for recognising our good doctors and overall level of care. We understand your concerns about phone waiting times and call-back discretion. Based on patient feedback, we will be moving to an on-the-day appointment system and re-opening our online form for same-day requests, which should improve phone access. Regarding the stairs and your need for assistance, please contact the surgery directly so we can better accommodate your accessibility needs and ensure ground floor appointments when required. M. It's not as good as it used to be
It's not as good as it used to be. I rang up a couple of weeks ago and I was very far back in the queue. I tried again and I was still far back. Once you get an appointment, you can't fault the staff. I cannot fault the surgery.
  • The Breckland Alliance

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate that you recognise the excellent quality of our staff and surgery once appointments are secured. We understand your frustration with phone queue lengths and appointment access. Based on patient feedback like yours, we will be moving to an on-the-day appointment system and re-opening our online form to allow same-day requests to be submitted, which should significantly improve access and reduce phone waiting times. I'm happy with it at the moment
Everything at the moment is okay. I've been prescribed more tablets. I'm happy with it at the moment. The doctor helped this morning.
