Trinity And Bowthorpe Medical Practice

I’ve been trying to be seen for ongoing treatment of fibroids, I went 3 years ago and they were helpful in getting me an ultrasound to prove fibroids there, then and the only option offered was the contraceptive pill. Since then I’ve tried to arrange follow up appointments for further treatment options, but each time it’s never worked out, first they only let me know about an appointment I’d asked for on the website, the night before which was not suitable, then they fobbed me off with a ... phone call which the dr made 1.5 hours earlier than scheduled, so I was still at work and missed it. I just popped down for a blood test appointment I just had to wait 2 months for and there’s a sign on a door saying closed and no one notified me. Seems like there’s maybe some issues with the notifications side of things.

I have come out frustrated that I can no longer get the medication that my consultant prescribed me in the same quantity that I used to be able to. It means I will have to come to the surgery more and with an ill wife at home it is not always that easy.
The chap on the front desk is very helpful and polite and Dr Barber is excellent.

It is a good location for me as I can walk here.
All the staff have been great apart from one doctor who was very dismissive, I have asked not to see them again and it has not been a problem.
They are good if it is urgent and you need a same day appointment but i have filled the online form in to be told to ring and then on the call to fill in the form which is frustrating.
I also do not understand how they can be running 50 minutes late so early in the morning.

This is my first visit after registering here. All the staff were very welcoming, courteous and friendly. I did not feel rushed and felt like they were paying attention.
it was about a months wait to see someone but it was not urgent so that didn't matter.
Not all my note transferred but not sure if that is here or my previous practice.
The waiting room did get a little hot but I know you can't please everyone.

Difficulty getting appointments or having appointments cancelled. Difficulties getting repeat prescriptions. Generally poor satisfaction with the level of service. It doesn't help that it's split and have to drive to Bowthorpe for blood tests.

I don't think it's as good as it was. Probably because there's more people so you have to wait ages for an appointment. Average few months wait. Trouble getting follow up appointments.

The doctors are quite varied, some good some not as good. Gentleman who is on reception today is really good, there used to be some who were unfriendly. The nurse who took my blood is lovely. I've had good service when I've needed it, they have been very supportive.

Don't often come, maybe haven't been for a year. It was a good appointment, they gave adequate time to listen to my concerns, and referred me for various tests. Very professional and Very engaged.

On the whole very happy. When needed I have been able to get appointments. Not a 5 due to some communication issues with a particular GP. Every other member of staff is lovely.

Been using here for 15 years and they're lovely here. They always look after me. Very easy to get an appointment, they don't keep me waiting.
