They've improved my quality of life
They've been really, really helpful with my back issues. I'd struggled for over ten years being told it was just growing pains but here they believed me.

They sent me straight to rheumatology and I got diagnoses which has improved my quality of life. I now understand my conditions and what help I need, and I can accept these adjustments without feeling guilty or confused about why I can't do things.

I can also see the same doctor every time, Dr. Mitchell, and she's great especially with my m
... ental health.

I like that they use my preferred pronouns on my prescription too.

Quickly treated
I have the same migraine issue as my mum and she's had no treatment for ages with another surgery yet I got a course of medication straight away which has cured the migraines. Brilliant.

Really good with my son
They've been really good with my son who has an egg allergy. I called 999 when he first became ill at home, he was turning blue but they said it wasn't an emergency.

I called the GP out of hours and they arranged for me to get him to hospital. This morning I left an online message as he's not well and they called me back within an hour.

They've been brilliant.

Poor experience
I have been referred to a specialist service after seeing them three days in a row. Had to see them twice and arrange two appointments for them to extend my fit note despite them telling me that they don't have capacity to see patients regularly for fit notes.

I gave them a copy of my occupational health assessment. Took two appointments and phone calls plus online form for the note to be extended.

Also took two appointments for them to send me someone else for my leg because the first Dr di
... dn't do anything. How can you say on the one hand that you have too much to do then not action what could so easily could have been actioned straight away.

They told me my attitude was bad when I in fact am struggling with a personality disorder. I even had a letter from occupational health sent to them confirming that I was not ready for work.

It seems they only want to see you if it makes their job easy and they don't have to think about the bigger picture of your care. Happy to put the responsibility on you when they don't have all the facts because they make things too complicated.

I try to make things easier by providing information about what I have been doing but there is always something they will blame me for.

I truly feel like a person here
I have had very negative experiences with local GPs and health services that truly do not seem to care about my wellbeing, and cannot seem to find it possible to continue my care between multiple care professionals. West Pottergate is completely different.

The staff are always helpful and actually pick up the phone, I have been treated with nothing but respect and dignity since joining the practice, and they have only showed me kindness. Specifically I would like to highlight extremely positiv
... e transgender care, particularly from Dr.

Clark, who has truly shown compassion and dignity regarding this in particular. If you work there, I truly want to thank you for giving me some hope again in life.

Your practice is a shining example of what should be expected and more.

This website is unbelievably awful
It is bank holiday Monday. I can not send a message or contact the surgery.

Amazing staff
My elderly mother is registered here and I, therefore, have to access services from this GP practice for her. I have nothing but praise for all the staff. They are courteous, professional, empathetic and supportive. Simply wonderful.

Excellent
We have been with this surgery for decades and would not go anywhere else. All staff from reception to GPs could not be more helpful.

They know the whole family by first name and have never had problems getting an appointment. I like the the online system.

It is very convenient. Allows me to message outside surgery hours and they respond very quickly.

Fantastic care
Took my son to see Dr Clark as our local surgery has dismissed my son and refused to let him see a doctor. My son had a large lump on his head that was growing bigger and we was at a loss on what to do with no help from our local doctor surgery.

He was miss diagnosed by a paramedic with a pillar cyst with no scan or proper diagnosis from a doctor. Dr Clark at pottergate saw us and referrred my son for an urgent scan.

Within 2 months my son was seen by a head surgeon at NNH and had a large ab
... scess removed from his head. I cannot thank this Dr and surgery enough they are in my opinion wonderful and there care and attention is outstanding.
