Staff are wonderful
23rd May 2018Have blood tests and on-going appointments here. Staff are wonderful and never waiting a long time. Unlike other departments. Don't like having tests done but the staff make it bearable.

More info post op
23rd May 2018My sister's chemo and breast cancer treatment was excellent, but her experience of the day surgery unit was not so good. She had surgery and following the op was like you're done now, good bye. Good treatment while she was there but the initial after care was poor. She left the hospital without knowing what had been done to her or what to do. There was a real lack of information which I think needs to be better. The district nurses who subsequently came out to her every day after were brilliant. They explained everything, which is much more than she got from the hospital.

Marvellous
17th May 2018My husband had scans and they found half a cataract. The care was great, they really helped him and looked after him. They took us downstairs and made us a cup of tea. He is booked in for his operation.

Staff are very nice
17th May 2018Never have to wait when I come in, all the staff are very nice. I always see the same doctor. We usually park in the disabled parking spots, but sometimes find it difficult to get a spot.

Reassured after tests run
26th April 2018I collapsed in the post office and was taken into the James Paget hospital. I had scans and test done, but nothing serious. I was reassured by the doctors and told to go and see my GP.

Treated my wife very well
26th April 2018My wife fell over in the garden and ended up going into the James Paget. Staff were fantastic and done her well. They treated her very well. She doesn't like needles so blood tests are an issue for her, but no complaints.

Personal service
26th April 2018They are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Good with patients and offer a personal service. My husband has been in for a nose cauterisation recently. It's annoying that they no longer do this at his GP, but the hospital staff are great.

Newberry Clinic
24th April 2018My daughter has been coming here on and off for 5 years, and we aren't really any further along than when we started. The place itself and the staff are absolutely lovely, and I could never fault them. Trying to get a diagnosis is very difficult. We had an assessment and we were told there's not enough evidence to diagnose but there's definitely something there. We then can't access further support and find it difficult at school. A big issue is that the appointments are made so far in advance that there seems to be a new doctor every time we go in. This is very difficult for a child with complex needs. It breaks the continuity and I'm sure it makes it harder for us to get a diagnosis, because it seems to be a different doctor each time seeing her for the first time.

Nurses are fantastic
24th April 2018The nurses are fantastic, they are overworked and never complain. I have had some issue with the hospital about travel costs. I was attending a clinic which overran and the kiosk had closed for me to claim my travel expenses. I emailed over my claim and got a very rude response, telling me not to bother with such small amounts. I am on a limited income and have a physical disability. This small amount is a lot for me. It has put me off claiming the money back, which I am entitled to do.

Very happy with the service
24th April 2018My husband uses the James Paget every three or four weeks in the Sandra Chapman centre. He is always seen on time and finds the staff are very good to him. He is very happy with the service offered.
