Sick note request
23rd May 2023I asked for a doctors sick note (I was absent from work for more than 5 working days) on 11th May. As no news, and with the manager being on my case, I popped into the surgery yesterday. The lady on reception said originally my request was booked for 12th May and she doesn’t know why it wasn’t done. She made a note and said the doctor will call me. It’s been more than 24 hours since, my manager has already asked me again when I am able to provide the sick note from the doctor and I didn’t know what to say. Very unhelpful overall.

BRILLIANT SERVICE
18th May 2023I work for extensive periods away from home so was delighted after transferring to this surgery that I was able to get an appointment within days of my original contact. As a result of my diagnosis, I needed to have a blood test which Maggie and Becky promptly arranged for me as I have to leave the country next week. Thank you both, I really appreciate it. It's finally good to be able to keep on top of things instead of waiting months!

When the NHS works seamlessly
17th May 2023My nephew who is vulnerable adult and has epilepsy went away on a trip visiting his ailing father. Unfortunately, for the very first time ever, his carer forgot his medication which is crucial for him. I called Lionwood Surgery and within an hour a prescription had been sent to the pharmacy local to the hotel and the medication picked up. A further phone call was received from a lovely lady from reception at the surgery to ensure everything was alright. I cannot thank Lionwood Surgery enough for facilitating this so seamlessly, especially during a fraught time. In these difficult and pressured times, I am extremely grateful that we are patients at Lionwood.

Above and Beyond
8th May 2023I moved to Lionwood Medical Practice last year and the treatment I've received goes above and beyond what I received at St Stephens Gates (though that surgery is very full and doctors are lovely there also) I recently saw Dr Wang and Dr Karaceun and both doctors acted professionally and swiftly whilst we get to the bottom of my problem. Extremely pleased and it's a good feeling knowing that these doctor's are giving the care and patience needed. Thank you to the whole team, amazing job!!

FANTASTIC SURGERY
5th May 2023We transferred to Lionwood earlier this year and have found the surgery nothing short of outstanding. We have found 'all' the staff absolutely amazing. My family have all been able to get appts very quickly. I was even offered a double appt for my daughter as the lady on the phone felt it was necessary. This has NEVER happened before. Patients have clinicians, physios, amazing doctors, nurses, office staff and receptionists all under one roof (sorry if I've missed anyone out). In particular, I would like to mention Dr Fraser who I think goes above and beyond the call of duty by not only diagnosing and prescribing but also takes the time to listen and give advice too. And last but by no means least, there's Maggie, who always stops and takes the time to speak to patients as well as doing her job. Everyone loves Maggie!

Telephone appointment
21st April 2023I had a telephone appointment however the doctor could not reach me. I went to the portal (which is only available for limited time and on working days only) to ask for an appointment. A week later no news so I walked in. I managed to get an appointment but no time was given. I missed the doctors call again so I immediately rang the surgery to inform them. I was informed that they will pass the message to the doctor. I attended the surgery again and had to book for a new appointment with I have to wait for another 2 weeks. I work full time too, like the doctors and sometime we can get pulled into urgent work. So, I hope the doctor and staff at the surgery understand this too and allow patients to be able to reach the doctor again on the same day as the appointment specially if I have made an attempt to reach out to the surgery. There should be some means to be able to speak to the doctor again if one have waited for weeks to speak to the doctor. I am going through an abnormal pain and I feel like crying when I cannot speak to a doctor at a surgery I am registered to in a timely manner.

Great Surgery
28th March 2023Even during a dreadful time with the online computer system not working I telephoned the doctors surgery and opted to receive a call back which is new on the telephone system today to see how I could arrange an appointment. They took my details and 3 hours later I received a text message with an appointment. I think this is excellent service. The lady on the telephone explained the situation and it was not too much trouble for her.

Can\'t use website out if hours
26th March 2023I work full time and you give no other option apart from diabolical phone service to use online. I trued to do this on Sunday as am not at work and you've closed the access to even make an appointment online which I can't do in working hours, unbelievable incompetence very unfair . Never mind us the patience so long as your alright !!!!!

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. Please note that due to Technical Faults outside of our control, the ability to use the communication portal has been unavailable for the past 3 days which has affected 20 practices in Norwich. We have been advised that the company responsible are trying hard to rectify the problem. Our phones lines are open from 8am - 18.30pm Monday to Friday and we are trying our very best to assist our patients demand for appointments during this time. Can't even call to get records
6th January 2023Trying to get an appointment? Good luck, you have to apply online first thing in the morning if you're lucky... But even trying to get through to reception in order to get a copy of your medical records so you can take pressure off the NHS to go private is impossible.
