LITCHAM HEALTH CENTRE BEST PRACTICE IN AREA
6th November 2019Litcham Health Centre is the best for miles around, you have no problems getting an appointment with a Doctor or Nurse. No one is turned away in an Emergency. All the staff are caring and helpful, no one is made to feel a nuisance. I have been a patient there since 1992 and have needed to be seen on a regular basis due to many health problems, and have been looked after exceedingly well by all staff. You may have to wait at times, the Doctors give you the time that is needed. They have a team that go out visiting patients who are unable to get to the surgery, they are highly trained, they have a Paramedic who has just joined the team , two phlebotomists, a Physiotherapist and Psychologist. They also have their own dispensary, again with brilliant staff. They have a wonderful reception, staffed by a great team of receptionists, there is no having to book in by machine. You can request phone calls and depending what it is regarding you will get a call back.I hope I haven’t missed anything, I am so glad I am able to have access to such a wonderful caring surgery in this day and age, I have to give all of the staff top marks and a huge thanks.

Prompt, polite and friendly
30th July 2019Very friendly staff and GPs. You get two choices on the phone - same day or book an appointment at a later date. You can usually be seen within two days - very prompt, polite and friendly all the time.

Mixed experience
22nd July 2019General good experience. But we have a milk free baby and the dietitian at the hospital advised we got a specific type of milk. It took Litcham 8 days to get the milk cans in so we had to go back to the hospital to get them. Litcham didn't seem to understand the urgency. Seem to cater more for older people than young people.

Outstanding GP Practice
11th January 2018I was diagnosed with Mental Health problems 16 years ago, I have tried to end it all several times but thanks to my wonderful GP and his staff I’m still here. I also suffer with several physical problems. My GP sees me either weekly or fortnightly. Three years ago The Norwich Central Mind Mental Health Helpline was opened and they are wonderful. So between my GP and them I’m still here although I don’t always want to be. My GP controls all my medication and I have to collect it daily. The practice was awarded outstanding in 2017 and it was really fantastic. They have also been awarded a Trophy for Diabetes’s and have come top in other things out of all the practices in the area. They spend as much time as each patient needs and emergencies are seen straight away. They may run late but it doesn’t matter as everyone is well looked after. We are lucky to have them in Litcham they are the best. Appointments are easy to get either with a GP or Nurse and they will also phone you if requested.

Accommodating and flexible
13th October 2017They know me very well. They got me through a serious illness. They tend to err on the side of caution. You can usually get same day appointments, they are accommadating and flexible.

Very good once you get an appointment
5th September 2017I struggle to get appointments and you have to book on the day by ringing up at 8am. I work 12hr day shifts so this is very tricky for me, but when you do get an appointment they are good. They only have 3 doctors so this is why appointments are so hard to come by. The doctors are good though.

Excellent Surgery - Brilliant GPs and Staff
20th November 2016I have been a patient since 1992. During the last 15 years I have suffered with severe mental health problems and physical problems requiring very frequent and ongoing visits to the surgery. The care is second to none, you are treated with dignity, you are given all the time you need without the clock being watch, appointments are not difficult to get. At times you may have to wait to get called in to your GP etc but this is no problem as you have to realise there may be a time that you need extra help or an emergency could occur. There should be more practices like this one.
