From start to finish it was brilliant. Able to avoid the lengthy phone call by explaining online. I was offered choice for a same day appointment but that wasn’t required. Booked in for 2 days later with Dr Baker. It was for my neurodiverse child whom struggles with examinations and dr’s surgeries. Dr baker was absolutely brilliant with her made all reasonable adjustments and talked at her level about what he wanted to to so she could understand. He took into account all her difficulties. I have never seen her so happy at the doctors and that was down to the kindness and character of Dr Baker. A credit to Newtown surgery

Very limited appointments

Needed an appointment to discuss pain relief. Was told the earliest telephone appointment would be in two weeks and to see my GP was almost four weeks. Felt sorry for the receptionist trying to explain this poor service.

No problems for me. I put the request through online and then they reply quickly, sometimes on the same day. I always get the kind of appointment that I need. I've always had excellent service and have always got an appointment when I've asked. I feel well looked after, can't improve on that!

Can be seen within a week for most things. When I called up with an urgent thing they got me an appointment within half an hour. Love it, been coming here for donkeys years. Best surgery ever in my opinion! I can't complain. I love Dr Kalia, I think she's brilliant and amazing.

Normally it's excellent. I can see the doctor face-to-face or via phone. I've got no complaints at all, they're the whole package! They're always pleasant and the tell you how it is. They always clarify when questions are asked. They're all round great!

They usually remind me about my appointments with a message, which is really helpful. I usually get in with someone when I book at appointment, it's not always the doctor you want to see but that's okay. They do same day call back.

It feels like there's too many people in the area now, it would be good to have more doctors so you can get seen quicker. I used to be able to just drop my water sample in but now you need to ring in advance and sometimes it's a very long queue.

To be honest I have contacted these four days in a row they say they haven't been able to get through I asked to have no phone contact because my number was given out the diabetic nurse said she had nothing to do with my insulin ect numerous times I've asked for help with diabetes they said yes to a insulin pump now it's just getting ignored stated my insulin wasn't working from 28 to twenty sugars I no when it worked sugars were much less and I no my own body with diabetes done my research now have a uti asked for antibiotics they said we need your number which they have got but explained phones broke ect they refuse to take my numbers of the system saying they would I can't receive calls I explained this now I can only do so much but I am sick and tired and unwell also tried loads to sort eye test for diabetes ect they don't want to listen am now left with meds that dont work insulin I mean !! And they say diabetes is important I'm fuming !!

Have experienced some continuous health issue

I have been experiencing some continuous health issues following an injury and have to say Dr Santori at newtown surgery is the best doctor i have yet to be treated by. With covid 19 restricting me from visiting the surgery, the thoroughness and continuous support and advice i have received from Dr Santori have been a saviour to me. Dr Santori originally gave me a telephone consultation, with advice on a technique to trial at home, within days of receiving and putting the advice into practice i feel so much better. Dr Santori then followed it up 2 weeks later to see how i was, she then gave me further support and advice to continue feeling well enough for my return to work. Thank you very much Dr Santori.
