Accident and Emergency
31st July 2019Although by the very nature of the fact you are in the A&E department I still feel very confident that I am receiving great care thanks to the skill of the staff. Due to my condition I am normally seen quickly and the staff are always helpful and reassuring.

Diabetes Clinic
31st July 2019The staff are friendly and the care I receive is good. I get the chance to ask questions and do not feel rushed. The car parking at the hospital can be an issue but it does seem to have improved recently. The three things most important for my care are: A friendly face Confidence in the care and advice Clean environment

Outstanding Care
31st July 2019The staff couldn't be better and the quality of care is excellent. I am given enough time to ask any questions and I am never rushed during the appointment. I receive fantastic care from everyone. The parking can sometimes be troublesome as I have a Blue Badge and the disabled spaces can be full sometimes. The three most important things for my care are: Helpful and polite staff Good and ample parking Familiar faces

Outpatient Care
31st July 2019The staff are good and give me any information in a way I can easily understand. The appointments are made a long way in advance and I occasionally forget to attend. The clinic room and waiting area are ok although it is a narrow corridor and has a lot of through traffic. I usually see Sarah and she is very good although I don't mind who I see. I don't have to wait long to be seen and I am happy with my care.

Waiting for results
31st July 2019I am still waiting for results of tests I had done five weeks ago. I have had no communication and it is extremely stressful and worrying. The actual care I have received is all good but I just don't understand why test results take so long.

Good standard of care
31st July 2019I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes and was telephoned on the same day with results and was then seen that afternoon. The initial appointment was very in depth and thorough, it was great. The two consultants are both exceptional, very pleasant and really positive and reassuring. I send in my blood sugars every week and it would be good to have that acknowledged, just so I know they have got them. I have also emailed a couple of questions and didn't get any response which can be frustrating. The three things most important to my care are: Regular feedback Consistent approach Face to face reassurance

Delays in receiving results
31st July 2019Following a GP referral I was seen at the hospital and had a scan. Unbeknown to me my care was then downgraded and I was placed on a waiting list for a follow up appointment. I spent several weeks watching the letterbox and putting my life on hold as I did not know the scan results and did not know I had been placed on a waiting list as my care had been downgraded to non urgent. It was emotionally distressing and the lack of communication is very poor. I do now have an appointment but I still don't know the scan results and can only assume it is nothing serious as it has taken weeks to get the appointment. Surely if results are not serious this can be communicated by letter or telephone to prevent the stress of waiting for results?

Brancaster Outpatients
31st July 2019I receive my appointment through the post and it would be useful if I could book my next appointment at the time I attend the clinic. I can change the appointment but it would save staff time if I booked it to suit me initially. It would also be helpful if you paid for your parking when you leave the hospital as I never know how long I will be. The staff are great and I am very happy with the care I receive. The three things most important for my care are: I don't want to feel rushed during my appointment Reliable communication; if you say you are going to call then do so Feeling confident with answers to any questions

Excellent antenatal care
31st July 2019The staff are very friendly and approachable. Sarah provides very good care and I know how to contact the service if I have any questions or if I am worried about anything. I am very happy with my care and get plenty of advice about managing my blood sugars and diet.
