Can't get appointments
29th August 2018You can't get appointments and it can take about a month. You have to ring after 8 and are then in a queue. My doctor is very good when I can see him.

I don't use it very often...
28th August 2018I don't use it very often but have trouble accessing when I do. We sit and wait from 7am for the few appointments that become available. If you wait for your doctor, you won't get one. If you call at 8am, it's just engaged. The only way to get an appointment is to go down and queue outside. If you get through, they're all gone. I feel like they just tell you things are down to 'old age'. Some doctors are good, but you can't choose. They need more!

Moved here 4 years ago...
24th August 2018I moved here four years ago and so far they have been excellent. They are attentive and pick up on things. For my husband's wellman test, they went through all of his family history, and picked up a heart problem. My husband was bedridden, and they sent someone to take blood at home. It's nice to feel people listen to you and take care.

I'm a carer...
25th July 2018I'm a carer and really struggle to get appointments for people I care for. They don't want to come and do home visits. They are underfunded and understaffed.

It's a shambles
16th July 2018Ring up or go online first thing to get appointment for following day. I think the system is terrible. The help there is great it's just getting there.

They have struggled over the years...
16th July 2018They have struggled with doctors leaving etc. I'm very impressed with how the reception staff signpost. You don't always need Drs. Nurses are excellent. Frees up GP's time. They have managed changes really well.

Rude to patients
25th April 2018They got my mothers medication wrong on a couple of occasions. They don't usually read the letters sent by consultants and are generally quite rude to patients. It's hard to get an appointment and there doesn't seem to be any triage system in place that I can tell.

Needed to see a Dr quite urgently
19th February 201819 Feb 18: I've had the cold, flu like symptoms twice in as many months, the latest being quite aggressive - up most of the night coughing, chills, sweats, usual thing! I arrived early at the surgery this morning just on opening time to quite a queue. The young woman on reception, dealt with the onslaught calmly and effectively, and was polite and courteous to all. I explained that I needed to see a Dr asap at which she found me an appt with less than a 30 minute wait, and asked that I sat in the waiting room. The Dr, one I'd never met before (though ex-Forces so he must be good) called me through very quickly, and explained that it had been a pretty busy winter with regards to 'flu' like symptoms. He had a listen around duly diagnosing that I had done the right thing be popping in, prescribed me medication and sent me on my way. I picked up my prescription from the onsite pharmacy and was back in the car less than 45 minutes after walking in the door with no prior appointment. Impressed - thank you!!!

Can't ever see the same doctor
31st January 2018Can't ever see the same doctor which is quite annoying. Usually they're alright. I can't really complain as I don't use it much.

Need more doctors
24th October 2017You have to wait a long time for an appointment. Need more doctors, you have to be knocking on deaths door to get an emergency appointment, and if it's at the weekend you're stuffed.
