Not tailored to my need
28th April 2017I have mental health issues and am receiving counselling and therapy. The service is good as it is steadily helping but it just feels that it's lacking in something. The treatment's not tailored to specifically me. It doesn't look at things beyond a medical approach, more should be done to think outside the box and be more tailored to me.

Thank you for your feedback. It is really helpful for us to have this so that we can shape our service to ensure that it meets the needs of those accessing it. We would really welcome your support with this service development and would love to hear from you if you would be interested in becoming an Associate. Our Associates support us with various aspects of service development and are crucial to us making changes for the better. -
8 months to wait for an appointment
28th April 2017My nephew had a mental health problem and needed help beyond talking to a family member. We called up the Wellbeing service and they said that they didn't have any space for a one-to-one session. Fortunately, my teenager nephew went and saw a independent counsellor at his college and got better. Eight months later, the Wellbeing service called up saying we've got an appointment. By then it was much too late. It's disgraceful.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback and I am saddened to hear that your nephew didn't receive the support that he should have done from us. Waiting times for one to one support are something that we are aware of and are working hard to reduce. We have a number of alternative options available but we do understand that these are not right for everyone. I am really pleased that your nephew accessed support from his college and that he is doing well. If you would like to discuss this further or become involved in our Associates Programme with a view to helping us improve the service, please don't hesitate to get in touch. -
Wellbeing
31st March 2017I found them to be really helpful. Mind sorted me out with some support and the Wellbeing Service helped me with bereavement and counselling support.

Initially good when I was getting one to one
3rd February 2017I was then put into a group but I felt out of place because of my age. The sessions were quite late in the evening as well so I had to change my shifts around.

Appointments
2nd February 2017They took forever to get me an appointment. The person I spoke to looked disinterested. More face to face appointments are needed.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your experience with us and I am saddened to hear that you felt that the person you spoke with looked disinterested. This is not an experience we would want for anyone accessing our support. Please do contact us if you would like to discuss this experience further. We offer a number of options within the service which include face to face appointments, telephone appointments, online support, workshops (face to face or via webinar), socials and bespoke workshops. Although these options do not suit everyone, we are keen to offer a variety to support as many people as possible. If you would like to access the face to face options that we offer, or discuss other options available, please don't hesitate to contact us. -
Poor service
2nd February 2017I feel my mum is in need of help and they seem to do nothing and don't offer support. Has been this way for years.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback Daniel and I am sorry to hear that your mum's experience with our service has not been a positive one. We are more than happy to discuss the various options that we offer with you or have a more in depth conversation with your mum around her current difficulties and who may be best placed to support her at this time. Please do get in touch with us if you feel that this would be helpful. Alternatively, please advise your mum to see her GP as they will also be able to support her to access help. -
An excellent all round service.
19th January 2017The Wellbeing Mental Health service has been a great help on my life. I'm very happy with my psychotherapist. They have taught me so much skills I use now in my day to day life. I always had regular appointments as well.

Wellbeing Service
28th November 2016I had anxiety and asked my GP if I could be referred. The Wellbeing service sent a letter which was poorly worded and unrealistic. It said things like my mental health 'issue' and they will 'cure' me in 6 sessions. I never spoke to a person and no one called me back after I rang to complain.
