My GP is great
25th September 2017Never have any issues. My one issue is that my GP wasn't sent a copy of my X Ray from the hospital, this should be easy to send electronically and would make like easier.

Delays for appointments
25th September 2017General care at the practice is good. However, delays in getting appointments and getting through to surgery. Practice busier over the past 2 years. They aren't increasing service provision in line with population increase.

No appointments for months on end
31st July 2017Very long queues as you go in, no appointments available to see your own doctor for months and months on end. I have an illness and disability so it's essential that I see my doctor, however she has never got any appointments free. She never has any appointments coming up and I find it extremely distressing that I can't get to see my own doctor. Being constantly told to call back. Awful new telephone system. Complained about it due to it using all my telephone credit during the wait and the surgery couldn't care less. So you can only call this surgery if you have money now! Very poor around mental health. I got told by a doctor that I would be referred to the mental health team, they failed to do it for two weeks. Extremely poor around understanding repeat prescriptions. I'm being constantly left with no medication which is essential for my daily life. Failed to send bloods off, fail to make a referral, failed to follow up referrals, fail to give you results. It's all very exhausting dealing with this surgery. I'm still under them, but I try not to bother with them any. However it's very difficult when not well. Complained to a member of staff. Very rude, couldn't care less about your points, talks and argues over you, doesn't listen to concerns. A staggering statement, Why do you still come here? Well why shouldn't I, it's my local practice and I have a long term relationship with my doctor. Well I used to, but can't get to see her now. Why can't they just manage this surgery correctly. Also lied about CQC rating, when it stated inadequate regarding managing of surgery. Now there's a surprise!

Reply from Wymondham Medical Partnership
We apologise and acknowledge the difficulties you have had getting an appointment with your doctor and for the poor service you have detailed above. Wymondham Medical Practice like many others locally and nationally is struggling with the pressures that exist within the NHS currently and appointment availability is a factor in that and because of this there are definitely less routine appointments available and as such less options to book online. We are working very hard on this situation and expect to see some improvements in the Autumn. Please feel free to contact me directly to discuss your issues in more detail.
