Lionwood Pharmacy

Simply put. Lovely counter staff but ill tempered, ill mannered Pharmacist who snaps at staff and badmouths patients after he comes off the phone, that is audible from the counter. Sends out "Prescription ready" emails then tells you it isn't ready and you need to wait 24 hours or the best one "you need to order 2 weeks ahead". Boxes all over the place so the staff spend most of the time trying to find where things are, wasting, in my opinion, hours a week of productive time. I have a 2 weekly p ... rescription and a 4 weekly that is blocked from ordering to me until the right date so I'd like to know how I'm supposed to manage this with their "order 2 weeks ahead" advice.

I went in to pick up a prescription, was the only person there in the pharmacy. I stood at the counter, not one person acknowledged me even though they saw me. I sat for a bit then stood up and asked if anyone was serving. They said they were busy, on the phone etc. I said I don't mind waiting but would like to be told what's happening not stand around like a lemon. Will try to get my prescriptions delivered, don't want to go back.

I saw a fantastic lady there who syringed my ears. It cost me over £100 but she was a lovely lady.

Excellent staff. They go out of their way to help and genuinely care about your wellbeing.

I have been using this pharmacy for years. However they have recently got a new member passing over prescriptions at the till and she was so rude to me!!! I wouldn’t ever go back - I rang my surgery and asked them to change my nominates pharmacy.

I spend £40 a month at that pharmacy and will never spend money there again.

I have used this pharmacy over many years and have always found them very helpful. They are always ready to give advise on health issues and medication for minor ailments.

The counter staff are great and service generally very good. However, I asked the pharmacist a question recently and was shocked by his reply.

He misinformed me about two matters regarding a medication. I felt he was annoyed to have to speak to me in the first place and he was very patronising as if he was talking to an idiot.

That was hurtful and, being female, I have experienced this before, but what was more concerning was the misinformation. I double checked online and with a friend who ... is a biochemist and I was definitely misinformed.

It is a great shame that this happened. I will not be consulting this pharmacist again.
