The nurse practitioner spent a lot of time with me and asked lots of questions they have ordered a blood test which will be done next week. The nurses are friendly and chatty. The receptionists are nice, as the screen is tinted it's hard to see them if the sun is shining on it which makes the communication a little harder as does the mask wearing. I also struggle with phone calls from one doctor it's fine face to face and he is a good doctor, I just struggle to understand him on the phone.

Thank you for your feedback, and we're glad you've had a positive experience. Our receptionist now do not have to wear masks at the front desk whilst seated behind the screen so I hope this will improve the communication. If you're preference is to see the doctor face to face, please let the reception know at the time of booking and we are more than happy to accommodate this

I was asked to come in for a routine blood test which led to a phone call to say that my red blood cells were small & I needed further tests. Since then my life has become a bit of a nightmare of trying to find out what is going on.
Trying to get blood tests done is bad enough but I invariably have had to come back again as the nurse hasn't been able to get any blood out of me first time.
The latest blood tests are taking a long time to come back but nobody at the practice seems to be aware of them even being outstanding. Do you not have people responsible for making sure that what needs doing is done?
Boots had to phone on Thursday because someone cancelled my prescription although the doctor has denied this & basically called me & Boots liars. People make mistakes but denying the mistake has happened is not helpful & not fixing the mistakes is even more unhelpful.
Today's conversation with the doctor was really poor. We seem to have gone from alerting me that there maybe a problem with my health to not giving a damn & wanting me off her case. I was managing my health quite well until I got a phone call from the practise, now I've just had 3 weeks off work due to stress, my blood pressure tablets have run out and trying to get them reissued is taking far longer than it ought to. New medication has been prescribed and when I ask why that particular medication the doctor doesn't want to justify her decisions.
I am entitled to know what I am being asked to put into my body.
Beechcroft Surgery has a real problem with their attitude. They are too quick to go on the defensive and justify themselves. I would suggest the fact that they are doing this means they know they are not doing their jobs well.
Whilst I appreciate that things are very tough following COVID, they are not the only people feeling the affects but they need to work to make things better, not just keep doing what they are already doing badly.
Get some better procedures in place to help you all do your jobs properly would be a start; to do lists, outstanding's lists, etc.
I would also suggest that the doctors might want to take time to refresh themselves with where they are at on a patients treatment before they phone them so we do at least feel like the doctor knows what he or she is doing.

Refused to see my 4 week old baby

My baby was crying all the time and I phoned the doctors and they refused to see her as we had not registered her at the surgery due to not having her birth certificate but it was hard to get an appointment to register her birth due to the backlog due to Covid.
A few months later every time I put her down on her back she would scream, I knew something wasn't right and tried to get an appointment but was told she couldn't have one, ended up taking her to the walk-in centre and she had an ear infection.

After 3 weeks in pain while the surgery ignore her and fail to communicate, they tried to tell my mother there was no infection, when in fact a closer look at the the results showed the sample was contaminated and she needed yet another test. Then they told the care home 30 mins later that there was no infection. They are using antibiotic resistance as an excuse for misinformation and lack of care.
Switched to Beechcroft from my last GP which was pretty shocking but what a breath of fresh air Beechcroft...The receptionist is always lovely and chatty is always seems really concerned about whatever issue your calling out....doctors are super efficient...basically everything you could hope for from your GP practice. Can’t recommend enough!!
In early 2020, new to the UK (although I am a UK citizen) I needed to register at a GP surgery. Beechcroft was my closest one so I went in person to obtain registration forms. I was informed by the receptionist that even though I am British, she doesn't think I can register as there should be a "waiting period" for patients who have lived out of the UK for a few years. This didn't sound right to me and she advised me to contact NHS England and went on to complain about all the immigrants arriving in the UK. Most unprofessional and sad that I had to be witness to this prejudiced attitude. Luckily, I am now registered somewhere else but I will steer clear of this practice, if only because of the receptionist's attitude.
Phoned for usual blood test as on methatrixate and letter from Rhuematology for steroid injection. Receptionist cancelled tues blood test to wednesday when blood test an injection to be done. Arrived this morning to be told could not do injection and had to be done be doctor and it would be another9 days to wait.
Having lots of problems with this surgery. Why do the receptionists say one thing and cancel the day your there.
I collected a test from the surgery and handed in a fresh sample the next day, was told it would be tested that day or sent to lab but heard nothing by the following day so called, they told me they would call back and a few hours later I got a text saying I needed to call the surgery. When I called I was told nothing except I had to give another sample next week. At this stage my infection had become bad with lots of blood, I am now having to call 111 and follow the situation from here. This place has staff,l with a poor attitude that does not take concerns serious enough, there is lack of responsive communication, and the only doctor they have is extremely uninterested and clearly inexperienced. I would worry for anyone with serious medical condition going here
They were fab in the early stages of my cancer diagnosis. I went with the symptoms I had been having, so they issued a blood test and then requested a scan which showed a tumour. 6 years on, if I go with any kind of problem now they often do bloods to check my levels and are really understanding
