There is a section titled ' make an appointment', but this just informs you that the practice is closed, if out of opening hours.
So just what is the sense in having an online service when you cannot access if to make an appointment.
When trying to access other departments you also just get the message 'THE PRACTICE IS NOW CLOSED,
This whole doctor's practise is an absolute joke!!!!!!!!!!
No wonder A&E is so full during weekends!!
I called to make an appointment as I could no explain the problem on line the receptionist was so rude she hug to phone up in mid conversation. Absolutely disgusting, the problem was about my sons heart who has special needs.
During Covid the introduction of video appointments gave hope. Historically the Beeches has been a very busy practice. Suddenly getting a video consultation was, in my experience, simple, quick and effective. However, now getting an appointment using any platform, video, nursing consultation or in person, seems to be harder than ever!
What do you do when day after day the only message you see is one telling you there are no appointments... again!
The surgery seems to have 100% rate of getting it wrong. This is probably the only thing they could boast about. Online custom prescriptions requests always overlooked and always require chasing. Quality of doctors advice and support abysmal. Convoluted processes to get an appointment. Despite filling in an online form providing very detailed information regarding your health issues, how long the problem has persisted for and what treatment you require. That’s right folks we are taking self service to another level. Oh you don’t have years of medical training or appropriate qualifications, no problem, still please do diagnose your own problem and also work out what treatment you need. When you receive a call back from a Dr, one of which they do not schedule an appointment for, simply calling whenever and therefore expecting patiences to be sat by their phone all day. Heaven forbid in this day and age a digital diary be available in which you give a person a specific time and date of an appointment regardless of whether that be face to face or telephone. When the Dr does then call they proceed to ask you what the issues are as though you have not already spent 15 minutes filling in a online form detailing exactly that? So be sure to talk quickly though , because gone is the day of getting a bare minimum of 10 minutes to discuss your issues, you will need to detail what the problem is in about 60 seconds flat, keeping the Dr on the phone for no more the 90 seconds in total (because it is highly unlikely you will be seen face to face) I am guessing diagnostics are easier using pictures or telepathy! Also do not actually expect the Dr to offer any advice or information and be prepared to beg and have your request of a referral to a hospital be rebuffed. Then when they say they will send a prescription to your nominated pharmacy, they probably actually won’t. So you will then be forced to chase this. Call them to sort it out you say, no no don’t bother because I guarantee when you call you will either receive an automated response detailing all their lines are busy and are simply cut off or alternatively If you’ve worked out that when calling if you push 1 on your handset you will ALWAYS then get through to an automated message where miraculously you will ALWAYS be 10th in the que, coincidence I think not. So now your on to the next option, yes back to filling an online form, further delaying the process because they now have 2 days to respond to you! In the mean time you can continue to suffer with the issue without resolve or treatment and utilise your remaining diminished energy, baring in mind you don’t feel well, with desperately seeking a competent, empathetic Beeches medical centre employee (good luck with that) who will or can resolve what has no become so so so many issues. Unfortunate you can not leave a minus star rating because giving a 1 is far too generous nor reflective of the actual service received.
I asked for my repeat prescription 2 weeks ago. Since the last one the DR had upped my tablets. However apparently this did not show on my records so unknown to me everything had stopped until another DR could review it. But nobody told me ! Only after I made further enquiries did I find that half of my tablets were now available. I have had to now reapply for the other half. A shambles.
Communication via the online system is so efficient and useful. If the solution to a medical issue cannot be solved via email an appointment to speak to GPs or nurses is organised promptly. When speaking to receptionists about issues they listen with care and offer sympathetic advice, making appointments when necessary.
Getting through to the Beaches is diabolical. Instead of getting number 29 in the queue I go through all the answer machine to be told that all lines are busy call back later. Took me all day to get through. I eventually got through at 3.20, waited 40 minutes to finally get through to the receptionist. Why can’t we go back to the 3 surgeries answering their own phone calls. Surely this would ease up on the pressure the receptionist is under. Cannot even get an appointment online now. You have to fill in a stupid questionnaire that asks what would you prefer obviously a face to face is preferable when they need to see the problem. How can you explain something that looks and hurts really bad. They have given me a different painkiller as my present one does not work. Got a message saying new one sent to pharmacy but what do I do with the old one, take this as well or stop it? This is only getting worse, not better.
Can I just say that I think the new way of comms via the online site is excellent, you get a responses really quickly and if necessary speak to someone as well. When I have needed to speak to staff ye sphere is a bit of a wait but they have always been really friendly and helpful
I have had numerous negative experiences with this surgery ,and on being on social media and looking on various independent review sites I am clearly not the only one.
On looking on various reviews for this establishment just over half, point towards the same issues over and over again.
However I was surprised to read the ‘care quality commission report for last year which rated the surgery as an over all ‘GOOD’
