If I could give a Rating of -100, I WOULD...!!!
For a while I've felt unwell and have been a Diabetic for many years.. Recently I had to call 111 and a Doctor told me to Double my Meds.. I had a long awaited Appointment today for Blood Tests which was sent to me on my iPhone under the NHS Phone App which clearly stated that I had an Appointment at Gorleston Medical Centre - but when I went there today they told me it should have been at The Beaches Medical Centre!! I asked them to phone The Beaches and tell them I was coming straight over! ..but by the time I reached there, they just said there was nothing they could do about it, and gave me another appointment for a Month's time! The staff member was just dismissive and then went onto a phone call and ignored me... I felt so upset because it was THEIR MISTAKE in the Text they sent me...
Had quite bad back pain.Sent a Foot Fall request at 8:40am. Had a phone call within 30 mins. Discussed my symptoms to a very pleasant lady. She said that I could have a face to face appointment with the doctor with an appointment at 9:50 am the same day. Very happy with the service provided.
My son had what I thought was croup. I was only offered a phone consultation, despite asking for my toddler to be seen. I was told "it sounds like you know what is is.... (I'm a Staff Nurse not a Doctor) here's a prescription for steroids " except there was no prescription. I turned up at my Local pharmacy expecting steroids, I has my sick son and other child in tow. The GP "forgot to prescribe steroids"! I had to sit in the pharmacy with a sick toddler, crying with a high temperature ringing the GP surgery, I was 21 in the queue. I waited 40 minutes to finally get through to the receptionist to be told "it's not my problem, I'll send an email to the on call GP"
2 hours later I finally get a text saying the prescription is ready, except they prescribed 4 TABLETS to a 3 year old who obviously can't take tablets. I gave up, I went to A&E where my son was admitted to children's ward straight away after being neglected and refused consultation with a GP. My son had a temperature of 40.5 degrees, Sat's of 94%, resp rate of 42, pulse of 169bpm.... none of which the GP would even look at.
The Paget were appalled and asked us to put in a complaint to PALS (which I will be doing) myself and my husband are Senior Nurses at the James Paget University Hospital and I can tell you the care my son recieved was disgusting.
My son had to attend the GP yesterday as he's still not well. We actually got a face to face appointment!!! Firstly the GP again refuses to full examine a 3 year old. He listened to my sons chest but refused to look in his ears, throat or examine anymore for signs of sepsis despite my son having symptoms of it still. We were told "what do you want me to do?" To which my Husband went mad stating "how dare you treat a sick 3 Yr old in this way?" We were given antibiotics for my son but again another cock up as the GP sent the prescription to the WRONG PHARMACY! We went back in to speak to the receptionist where we witnessed the receptionist stand verbally abuse a patient, loudly with all to hear. The receptionists laughed and baited an elderly lady provoking a fight with her.... I've never seen anything like it.
I have now applied to move surgery as I have had beyond poor treatment from the Sussex Road branch. When I was At Magdalen way surgery we never has issues.
I was to receive phone consultation asked what can I help you with ! I said I got letter saying I was to make this appointment 're blood test results said hold on came back said I was enemic and must start a course of iron pills I told her I spoke to Doctor (on phone again !!!)and script was sent to chemist have been on them plus two other new pills for 3 weeks I tried to speak to her 're a plantar facilities problem swollen and bruised leg but got no joy she was speaking on loudspeaker phone which had broken signal and very difficult to understand Face to Face seems to be a thing of the past
Was not a good experience the doctor seemed to not be listening to me told me, That I should just wait and see what happens and monitor my condition by myself. And she did nothing for me and gave me no medication or advice for my very tight chest and sore throat and constant coughing. Whenever I am active or working etc. I very rarely call the doctor for anything and this is how you get treated. Very frustrating oh and it's Not covid
Having taken a water sample into The Beaches on Thursday 30th June @10-30am , called the next day to find out the results , was told it had gone to the JPH. Now its Monday 4/7/2022 cant get through on the phone and no way online to find out if I need a prescription . Was 14 in the q then 21 in the q . How an older person sort this mess out , I’ve no idea , I’m 71 ,
I spoke to a doctor from the beaches medical centre yesterday and she was abrupt and rude. She works at my surgery yet has no idea of my history, maybe she couldn’t be bothered to look it up.
In February. i was in Hospital with blood clot on my lung . have to take blood thinners. it had such a bad effect on my body things started to happen pain in my joints. every thing . saw Dr Thacker and he explained every little detail , check all over my body and had me get a full blood test and ECG , and also full chest Xray , he is giving me a full MOT , and just by seeing him i started to feel better not a 100% but a little better . Dr Thacker is a credit to the beaches med center , thank you Dr ,
The gp who phoned me this morning was quick to ring back, however as she is in a hub could not make an urgent appointment to have my bloods taken. Trying to reach a receptionist is very bad. when I phoned the first time I was 15th in the waiting list, after about 3/4 hour I was number 3 however I then got cut off. so I tried the website to be told no appointments available, I am now trying to phone again now I am number 20, its so frustrating but I need this blood test urgently. I was sent a letter say I need a routine blood test a few weeks ago so I did not worry about getting the test results. Bring back Hopton surgery please
Everyone here has an attitude problem.
The doctors themselves can't do a job properly.
I am changing my doctors because you can't get an appointment.
I'm not happy at all this with these doctors.
