  I'm visiting Dad. He is being very well looked after but he forgets things, like if he has seen doctors or nurses. He has physio exercises that staff are supposed to help him with but it's not been happening. All the staff are nice and helpful but they're just so busy. We've been involved in conversations about discharge but its been tricky to manage expectations and sometimes there's a lack of continuity with a nurse saying one thing and a physio saying something completely different.

  We've had a good experience, she's progressing. There seems to be a lack of physios, she hasn't been given any exercises but she is going to the gym here. My sister has been here more and she has been able to ask the right questions to get the answers we need, she's been able to do that as she's a nurse. They haven't discussed discharge plans with us yet and again this has been initiated by my sister. She's already getting things in place.

• We've travelled 200 miles

  We're visiting mum, she was transferred here from QEH. Reception led us through to where we needed to go. We've travelled 200 miles to visit someone and there are no facilities for visitors, somewhere to get a sandwich or a drink. The staff have been helpful. We're happy with the care she's had, various medical people have been on the phone to us, everyone has been really helpful with communicated everything with us.

• Physio

  I go here for physiotherapy and my treatment is okay, but I really need a hip replacement.

• Never alone on the ward

  You are never in the ward without someone there. You never have to ring the bell. Occupational therapists at the hospital were brilliant at getting everything in place for my discharge.

• Maternity Health Visitor

  I visited the hospital to see maternity health visitors. They ran classes here about pregnancy. I thought they were quite good, but could have been more in depth. The hospital was okay, a little strange and quiet. Should be used more.

  It's easy as it's only a two minute drive away. The midwives are great, and give good advice. It was my first child so I was nervous about lots of little things and probably just needed reassurance.

  Had a heart attack over 9 years ago. Have been attending cardiac rehab since then. Fantastic. Can't fault it.
