I didn't feel that I was given a choice
6th March 2024I called the surgery with a stiff shoulder and a receptionist triaged me to a physio at the surgery. I only had to wait two weeks but to be honest I would have rather seen a nurse or doctor. I didn't feel that I was given a choice. Anyway, I was checked over and given some exercises to do at home. If things haven't improved in a few weeks I will ask for a proper doctor's appointment.

Thank you for your feedback which I have discussed with our GPs. The most expert person to see you with a stiff shoulder is the physio. Unless there is something unusual about the shoulder, they are the best person to see. If the physio feels that you need to see a GP or other healthcare professional, they will direct you accordingly. The healthcare team is constantly increasing to include physios, pharmacists, mental health practitioners, community connectors, so that patients are signposted to the correct service. I'm sorry you feel that you weren't given a choice, and hope my explanation as to why you were offered a physio appointment is helpful. -
I can always get an appointment
16th February 2024Very good, I can always get an appointment. Sometimes when I'm due an appointment they even call me! They do need to change their hold music though...

No qualms
16th February 2024The surgery is better than it used to be. It's easy to get through on the phone, and getting an appointment isn't too bad. The staff on reception can be a bit negative. I've got no qualms with the practice; I'm well looked after.

Mainly positive
16th February 2024My wife and I have been here for four years. We both have health issues and use the surgery a lot for tests, medication etc. Our experiences have been mainly positive. It's good that there is a pharmacy on site. Recently however we have had an issue gaining access to certain drugs that my wife needs. We had an awful service and we had to go to a different pharmacy. I have raised the issue with our MP and with the Integrated Care Board. Very poor.

It can be difficult to get an appointment
16th February 2024It can be difficult to get an appointment, but that is not their fault. They say you can't make an appointment more than two weeks in advance but then they don't have any available. Other than that I can't really fault the service.

Good but getting an appointment can be tricky
14th February 2024The treatment is always good. It can be more difficult to get an appointment, I don't think it's their fault though. I think it's because there are too many people and not enough doctors. There are more houses and more old people, like me.
