Confused
24th June 2022I have been a patient of Manor Farm Surgery for 11 years now and have seen many changes and not all for the good. For example I rang up recently only to find out that my GP had left. I have been transferred to another GP. Would have been nice to have been told this. My last GP built up a lot of trust with me and now I have to start again. I am a little bit disappointed in that aspect. Please get this practice back to his it was and then you will be a green dot for the CQC in future and not a red one.

Difficult process to get an appointment
3rd March 2022It is always difficult to get through on the phone. They tell you to call and then it takes ages to get through. You then have to tell the receptionist your symptoms - I don't want to tell the receptionist my symptoms. I would prefer to speak to the doctor and see them face to face.

Very good so far
3rd March 2022I have just registered as a new patient and so far it has been very good. They have given me other contact numbers and helped with getting my COVID vaccinations.

2hrs 14mins on hold to make an appointment
3rd December 2021Was 2hrs and 14mins on hold Monday morning to get a telephone appointment.was told when got through that this was normal now they are very busy,I don't find this acceptable.online booking is still disabled so this probably doesn't help the call volume much I would say.

Thank you for your feed back I agree this is totally unacceptable staff staying 2 hrs extra at the end of their shift is also unacceptable on a daily basis, We have recruited more staff and extra telephone lines we are limited to how far we can expand our work force to space we have to work in. This is still not enough we are doing the best we can with the surge of workload we now have. Please except my apologies I ask for you to be patient with us over the coming months as we foresee this will continue for a while yet. Regards Tracey Smith Practice Manager -
Excellent
23rd November 2021The GPS and staff have all been extremely helpful, understanding and caring. The GPS take time with you and I always feel like they listen. I’ve never had a problem with them in the 7.5 years I’ve been at the practice. All the staff are helpful too.

Their Website needs Covid-19 update!
10th November 2021Went online to see what was happening at the practice regarding the Covid-19 Boosters roll out, only to find that the Covid-19 information still refers to pre-vaccine roll out!.. the Vaccine centre there was great, but there's no information on whether it will continue in some form, for boosters, etc.

almost impossible to contact the surgery
5th November 2021Received a text inviting me for flu jab. Keen to sign up so called the surgery. Get an automated message saying request use the online system. Go to emis patient access, get message box saying this surgery has no appointments bookable online. Go to surgery website to see if I should book through there - website well out of date, latest info seems to be from 2020 and absolutely nothing helpful about how to book. No email listed to feedback directly to the practice so have had to resort to healthwatch feedback. Can anybody tell me how to book my flu jab???????

GP “Service”
5th September 2021Used to be a good practice with a commitment to patients. Despite several serious underlying health issues, which have deteriorated with the lack of medical support, getting more than a 2 minute phone consultation or a 3 minute video call with a nurse with poor internet connection is impossible. Impossible to get to see a GP.

Used to be fantastic
31st August 2021They are 'trialling ' a new system where you can only phone on the morning to get an (phone) appointment. Wondering how this sits with equality act? How do people who can't call at 8.30 get an appointment?

Thankyou for your feed back We are experiencing high volumes of patients asking to see or speak with the Doctor, we have to try and manage this in the best way we can, this is a trial and a bit of an experiment of which will not continue if it does not work well. At this stage it is far to early to tell how successful it will be as we have only just started it. You are able to telephone anytime of day and if it is something that cannot wait it will be added onto the Doctors list. We are also in the process of recruiting more staff but this also takes time to filter through. We are doing our best to maintain the standards we and our patients would like ,but is becoming very difficult with the current situation. Thankyou Tracey Smith Practice Manager -
Great Service
