They have been wonderful
28th August 2019We've never had any query about the treatment we've had. They have been wonderful. The staff are all very good but I think sometimes that's all about how you treat them. They usually communicate very well. However this time, they rang and said they'd send a letter to confirm but never did. But I being an ex-nurse myself, I understand they're busy. I do usually get a letter though and they're easier than a phone call, they're very easy to understand too. Only one improvement I'd like to see: using an unattainable number when they call because I don't usually answer these numbers so I might miss something important.

Staff are nice and polite
28th August 2019Everything has always been okay for me in the Respiratory Department at the hospital. The staff are nice and polite. They always send me appointment letters and phone calls - the letters are easy to understand too. The only slight issue is we've been here since 8.40am and it's now gone 11am and it's difficult with a little one.

This hospital is great
28th August 2019This hospital is great! My uncle came in last September and he received such great care while he was here. The staff were brilliant and they've been good with me too. The communication from the hospital is good. They can't help running late sometimes, it happens - you can't help staff sickness. There's not really any improvements I'd like to see; it depends on funding really. For what nurses and doctors do, they're not paid enough. I can get the bus here which is good but for early appointments I have to find another way because buses don't run early enough for me to get here in time.

Staff were quite rude
28th August 2019The staff in the Rheumatology department were quite rude to me. They said they'd sent me a letter which I've never received. I come to the hospital quite often and we've never had an issue with receiving hospital letters. I mentioned it to the staff and they just told me three times 'Well you have had a letter'. When I said that I hadn't, all they kept saying was 'you have had a letter'. I needed an appointment sooner but now I don't have one until next year. The staff said I was being abusive but I wasn't, it was just their attitude with me. I've also had instance where the toilets in the hospital weren't clean. We're not sure if that's just down to the people that day but it could be that they're struggling to keep it clean.

Cardiology Department is very good
28th August 2019The cardiology and respiratory departments are very good. I had heart surgery, I had to come for check-ups and my wife is here today for a check-up because of other health issues. The staff are all very friendly too.

Staff are good
28th August 2019I visit the cardiology department for my annual check-up and the staff are always good when I'm here. They communicate with me well too - I'm very happy.

Everyone's been okay to me
28th August 2019Everyone's been okay to me and I even parked okay so it's been okay! I've spoken to two people so far and they've both been pleasant and helpful. Air con would be nice for when it's this hot though!
