  We visited the Siskin Centre today with our grandson for a routine check up He has Down’s Syndrome and is very reluctant to let anyone near his teeth. Hayley, the nurse and Nancy, the dentist were so patient and understanding with him. They talked to him and let him hold the mirror to begin with. He was allowed to sit where he was comfortable and Nancy came to him. It was a wonderful experience and we cannot praise them enough for their kindness and patience.

• Couldn't get through for hours

  When I did finally get through the receptionist was rude, been in agony for days, told there was no appointments available, living on pain killers can't eat or drink, have a heart condition but was as good as told to go away and stop bothering them. Tried 111, and NHS England, just given a list of dentist phone numbers which I can access myself. Absolutely dreadful service

• Need help badly

  Have tried to get through on numerous occasions when I do get through it's booked up all appointments have gone I have phoned up over 110 dentist in and around Norfolk and out of Norfolk and still cannot get an appointment this is so ridiculous whatever don't they build a big dentist hospital I am stuck on needing a root canal and am in so much agony Been dealing with this for nearly a. Year .what do u do and health watch and 111 is ridiculous

• Impossible to access

  Completely unfit for purpose, impossible to access. The only time I have ever got through to speak to anyone was a few weeks ago in the afternoon and they told me I need to call back at 8:30am the next day if I wanted a face to face appointment as all their appointments for the day get booked up early doors. So I have tried at 8:30am on the dot almost every day for 2 weeks now with no success, some days trying for over an hour. You have to sit through a very longwinded automated message, then it goes to an engaged tone then it cuts you off.... then you have to start all over again. Incredibly frustrating.

  I had a lot of difficulty getting through to the Siskin Centre on the telephone, calling for hours each day and mostly getting nowhere. Obviously this is largely due to the pandemic and a severe lack of dentists in Norwich and Norfolk, but it was certainly very frustrating and the reason I'm unable to give a full 5 stars. However, once I actually did get through and was able to make an appointment, they were absolutely amazing. I had expected to completely lose a broken and infected tooth but instead had it drained, cleaned out and filled to the point where it almost looks like the tooth was completely rebuilt (though obviously not to the same extent as if I'd been able to get a crown or similar from a regular dentist). Staff were very friendly and reassuring throughout, too, helping to put my very anxious mind at ease.

  Impossible to get through on the phone, and they don't even have a hold service so you have to keep redialling and listening the same Covid information over and over followed by just getting told they're busy and getting cut off. Absolutely ridiculous way to manage an urgent care service.

  Yes, it took a while for my call to be answered, but not unreasonably so and definitely worth the wait. The dentist who saw us (same day) and her nurse were absolutely marvellous - really they were top notch. Everything explained perfectly and extraction performed compassionately on an agonised and extremely nervous man. Very, very impressed and many thanks to them.

• Not open and not answering calls

  Need emergency dental care for hole in tooth with possible abscess have been in agony first day call just hung up after long message on why they are closed 2nd day I was 3rd in que it took 37 mins to get to 1st in que and then just constant ringing with no one picking up for an hour ! This is appalling - why aren’t you open when other dental practices are but won’t see anyone for emergencies but yet will for face to face and treatment if pay for private extortionate fees ?! I don’t understand why the clinic is open nhs 111 don’t understand it either I have called them twice and they have told me to speak to a pharmacist !! Really ! They really need to respond to people’s questions and update their website on when they will be open !

• On the phone for 3 hrs

  I do appreciate that it’s a busy time for Siskin Dental practice, during the COVID-19 crisis. However I was recommended to call by the NHS 111 service and also had a call reference number, I was on the phone for nearly 3 hours, so I waited until I was first in the queue. The phone was now ringing so I was really hopeful that I would get through, but no after another half an hour I just loss the will to live, so hung up. I will probably try again another day, but really disappointed that the phone was not answered
