  They are all nice. The reception staff are very nice, the doctors are nice and the nurses are nice. The only thing I would say is it would be better if you could see a doctor more promptly. Their intentions are good but when you see a paramedic they focus on the things they can deal with and might miss other stuff. It's not their fault it's the system.

• The reception staff are really good

  The staff on the reception team are really good. The surgery got back to normal quite quickly after COVID. The staff are always there for you and you can always approach them to ask things. I don't find all the doctors as responsive as I think they should be. Some of the doctors are good. The reception told me the doctor would call me with my test results and they didn't, I think they forgot, so I had to chase it again myself. Sometimes it feels like they are taking the easy option for them. It has made me think about changing surgeries.

  They are okay but can be a bit slow. Sometimes when you turn up you can wait a while to see the doctor. It's easy to get an appointment though, I just ring up.

  The staff are absolutely amazing, they encourage you and help you. I have a needle phobia and they were so kind and good when I had my blood test. They also helped both my mother and husband and were very helpful during a difficult time. All the people that work here are amazing. However I do wish it was easier to see a doctor face to face. I am now waiting for a phone call from a paramedic who will decide if I need to see a doctor which seems such a long process. If you know you need to see a doctor you should just get to see the doctor. I would only give it two stars if it was just about getting a doctors appointment.

• It feels like being on a sinking ship

  I do appreciate all the problems doctors are having but it's not good. It used to be brilliant but since COVID it has not been good. I phoned to speak to a doctor and I was told to put frozen peas on and rub voltarol in. This didn't work. I shouldn't have to tell the receptionist what's wrong with me. I want to see a doctor but it's always difficult to get an appointment. It used to be brilliant but now feels like being on a sinking ship. I sent a sample into the surgery and when I asked about the result they told me it hadn't even been sent off. No explanation was given. When I complained about the surgery to the receptionist I was handed a form to change doctors if I didn't like it. I should say that some members of staff are very good.

  sorry to say absolute rubbish ,when you do get a face to face appointment after asking all day, tell the doctor you think you have hade a panic attack felt like heart and they could not be bothered to even check blood pressure etc

  After seeing my GP I was referred to the Ambulatory Emergency Care department. I was told by my GP to arrive at 10am however the tests I needed would not happen until 3pm. Although the staff at the AEC were very apologetic and gave me various options it would have been useful if the GP was aware of how the AEC runs as I then had to return to the hospital 5 hours later for my tests to be carried out.

• Doctor doesn't keep track of medication

  My doctor over-prescribed my medication, so I went back to ask about it and they didn't have any record of it ever being prescribed. When I pressed the doctor for an answer he got quite confrontational and just didn't answer. On top of this I felt like I was being cross-examined by the receptionist when she was asking questions about my mental health conditions out in the open. Those discussions shouldn't be taking place at reception, I felt like it was an abuse of my personal privacy.

• Lack of flu vaccines

  My 4 year old has caught the flu 2 days before her nasal spray was due, despite me repeatedly telling the receptionists how concerned I was that 12th December would be too late. Of course now the whole house except my vaccinated 7yo (through school not the gp) has caught it and feels awful. I'm also fed up of being shipped over to the Gayton Road branch every time The Hollies don't want to deal with us. I don't drive so it's a 45min bus ride and 30 minutes of walking one way.

  The nursing staff are all very friendly. I have a regular appointment to check my INR and it is always stress free. I can get my next appointment booked in whilst I am there which is great & saves trying to book it at a later date. A very friendly and caring surgery.
