I've had about nine phone calls with their mental health nurse and I've seen him in person twice. They saved me from killing myself. They helped me kit out my house. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have known I was on the wrong medication and it's been put right now.

I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for the surgery

I was homeless. I went to my doctor and they were great. When I was housed I was kept on by the practice. My appointments were all phone calls as I couldn't get into the surgery because of a bad leg. They always called me back. My medication is always delivered. I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for the surgery. They referred me to the Red Cross who have also helped me.

I was seen by Advanced Nurse Practitioner Mel who was highly efficient, put me at my ease and could not have been more helpful and attentive when discussing my medication and and an issue I had.

Being forced to use E Consult

Went into surgery to ask for an appointment (I did explain why) to be told to go home and fill out E Consult......Sorry I tried it once and had to come to surgery 2 weeks later to find you didn't get it !??! that's why I'm here, No sorry you have to fill in E Consult.....Long story short I got an appointment for 3 hours later. Not everybody wants to use the internet and some still don't have internet. Please stop forcing this on people. (Ratings given include treatment at appointment)

Thank you for your feedback which we value.
We encourage our patients to use eConsult as this is the preferred and more consistent way for an appointment to be booked. Whilst i understand that not everyone has the internet, all surgeries now have an online platform for their appointments to be booked as it is often seen as a more efficient method. We do have a system in place in the surgery for people who do not have the internet. I am, however, pleased you were able to obtain and appointment and were seen to resolve your problem.

During a crisis I contacted the surgery and was offered an appointment within the week. I spoke to Dr Hampsheir who was wonderful, talked me through everything without patronising me and took his time making sure I was happy with the plan going forward, and reassured me about any concerns I had. Lovely surgery, wonderful staff. I have avoided going to doctors in the past as I feel I am wasting their time or won't be listened to (which is the impression I've had from previous surgeries) but have never had a bad experience here.

No continuity of treatment

One doctor says he needs to get you sorted out and then you can never get to speak to him to follow on despite messages and pleas,just having to see nurses and nurse practitioner who only read the last visit on your records and you use most of your time parroting the same things that your doctor already knew .Absolutely no continuity of treatment.No wonder people use Dr Google

I am sorry that on this occasion you were not able to follow up with the original GP you had seen. I can assure you however that our Advanced Nurse Practitioners are fully qualified and are able to deal with the vast majority of illnesses presented to them. After a weekend in pain, I phoned Monday morning and a very pleasant receptionist offered me an appointment later that day. I was seen on time by Mel who was extremely professional but kind and caring as well. Left feeling reassured and positive.
