My elderly Mother in law fell in a supermarket car park this weekend. Suspected broken leg. We called 999 and we're told someone would call back in 2 hours and an ambulance wait would be a further 5 hour wait. They said not to move her but what choice did we have!! How they felt leaving a 77 year old laying on the cold tarmac of a car park for 7 hours was acceptable I do not know!

Both the paramedics that came to me were amazing. They took me to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and I felt well look after from the time they picked me up until they left me at the hospital.
I have had to call an ambulance twice in two days for my husband, and have received outstanding care and thoughtfulness from all 4 paramedics who attended. I cannot thank them enough.

A couple of years ago, my son was involved in an accident. It took ages for the ambulance to arrive and when it did arrive they had sent two young female paramedics but my son was tall and I didn't think they would be able to lift him as he was on the ground. They said to me that we'll put him in your car and you can take him in your car to A&E. My son had blood over his face and it turns out he had internal injuries too. I refused to take him in my car so they did take him in the end. They were nice and they did get him there.

My husband was coughing up blood and was very uncomfortable. The ambulance only took just over an hour and the paramedics were brilliant. They took the time needed and didn't rush my husband into anything.

Father had a suspected heart attack…ambulance arrived within 10minutes of ending the emergency call…paramedics were great and reassured us he would be taken to Norfolk and Norwich hospital on blue lights as confirmed it was a heart attack…Told us the care he would be given and that he should be seen and treated by 10am …950am he was in recovery following surgery…Nothing but praise for the 3 person paramedic team …Thankyou so much and keep up the excellent service you provide.

Today I experienced just how special our ambulance service is. My elderly neighbour had a fall and a very nice paramedic called Steve turned up to see what he could do. He was great both with the patient and the situation.

My 98yr old mum fell and complained of leg/groin pain ..
A call was immediately made to Norfolk Ambulance Service .
A broken leg was suspected by carer. (mum was in a care home 5 mins from Norfolk & Norwich University Hopital.)
Call handler said “do not move her”
7hrs later the ambulance arrived!!.
By now mum had laid over 7hrs and was struggling with breathe..
She died within 3 days (pneumonia) and yes her femur was fractured and possible a broken arm .
Nobody should have to suffer line this.
