Next day appointment and on time! Dead tooth broken
6th September 2024Dentist was great, told me my broken tooth was dead. I assumed that meant he would remove it, but instead he filled it there and then. Accepted I didn't want anesthetic no problem too. Excellent.

Seen at short notice
11th April 2024I had a tooth abscess which had spread into the gum. I telephoned after a public holiday and they managed to fit me in on the same day, carry out a check and give me some antibiotics to help treat it. From a sympathetic receptionist through to great support and advice from the dentist, everyone was very professional.

The Worse Dental Practice I Have Ever Known
31st May 2023They have cancelled my last two appointments twice in a row and I have already been waiting for months for a filling to be re-done, after the dentist did not do it properly the first time, four years ago. The tooth has since become sensitive to pressure, hot and cold food and drink. I went back to have this tooth looked at by the same dentist and then booked in for a treatment appointment. When I went back to have work done, I sat in the chair and the dentist tried to say it was a different tooth that I needed doing, not the actual tooth that is causing me these issues. I wasn't happy with what he said so before I let him start work on the different tooth (which was one next to said tooth), he and I both agreed that I go for a second opinion with another dentist in the same surgery. The second opinion dentist and I agreed that I would use him for any further treatment. It is the second dentist who keeps cancelling my appointments and I keep being put back month by month. Last week I was told by the receptionist that my new dentist would not be in on the day of my appointment. As it was already cancelled once, and my 79-year-old mum, who also sees this dentist, told me he has been rude to her more than once and he and his dental nurse have made her feel silly and intimidated. I felt a concern that the surgery was not being honest, so I took a visit to the dentist on the day of my so-called appointment to see if I could see him through the window and he was in fact working, as I could see him through the window with another patient in his chair. The surgery is not being truthful with me, as well as the receptionist being sarcastic on the phone (I have an audio recording of the conversation which I am more than happy to share). It is not acceptable that they are treating me (or my mum) this way and I am still in need of treatment on my sensitive tooth, which as far as I am concerned was the dentists' fault in the first place. The first dentist I was seeing has worked on two of my teeth and both haven't been done to a satisfactory level. He filled in a chipped wisdom tooth last year and that tooth is very sensitive when I use floss on it. I can feel that this tooth will eventually need more work, also. It is as if the standard of work provided is temporary and evetually you will need to go back for further work on any teeth they work on. Fells very unprofessional. I have fillings (done in other surgeries) from more than twenty years ago which are still ok to this day.

New dentist
4th October 2022I felt compelled to leave feedback, as I believe if you receive good service you should acknowledge it. I have had poor experiences (service) from dentist in the last few years, and have consequently moved (when you could) dentist. As a NHS patient I always presume I will receive less than enthusiastic treatment as a matter of course. At my new dentist All Saints Green Dental Clinic Norwich, the service was okay! But the dentist was not very proactive or transparent (ref band charges etc). I had an appointment today at my dentist (All Saints Green Dental Clinic) to be informed that my usual dentist had left the practice. I therefore presumed, I was going to get the usual NHS service (uninterested) and a second rate stand-in dentist. However the dentist I saw today (Dentist Sam) was the best dentist I have seen in many, many years; his communication was excellent, with open and honest appraisal, and transparency regarding fees (treatment within band), and didn’t make you feel cheap, it felt like stepping back in time when dentist seemed to actually put patient care before fees. I am aware that the dental fees/payments structure is complex, and it needs addressing ASAP by the government so that dental healthcare can be put back on a firm footing for to allow dentist to provide the care I believe they would like to provide for all there patients. However until that happens let’s hope more patients experience service like Dentist Sam’s, who certainly made me feel he was performing professionally for m, and I hope others.

Treatment stretches over lots of appt.
15th June 2021Would move dentists but can’t find another dentist accepting NHS patients. Very short appointments & always seems to stretch treatment plans across lots of appointments, charging for each visit eg. 1 visit for an X-ray, another for the filling but you’re charged twice instead of once as outlined by NHS. They’ll do the bare minimum & always push the more expensive option. Waiting 2+ months for a filling!

Waste of time
23rd September 2020I arrived for my appointment 5 minutes early, gave my name at the door and was led to the waiting area. 25 minutes later I am informed that my appointment is actually cancelled as the dentist isn't in. They claimed they tried to call me earlier in the day but have received no such call. They could have at least told me when I entered, and not 25 minutes later.

Young staff member is well-informed
15th January 2019I go to the hygienist here every three months. I think she's straight out of university, which is good because she's obviously very well-informed and up to date with dental practices and standards.

Put me at ease
30th July 2018This practice is a lot better than my previous one. I am very nervous with needles and injections but they are good, and can put me at ease.
