Thank you for your feedback and please accept our apologies for the delay in getting your medication.
As you will be aware there are very many supply issues in the UK at the moment, from fuel to supermarket items to medicines. Unfortunately we have no control over deliveries of medications to our dispensary, neither do the NHS Community Pharmacies, where you may have been due to collect the medicine for your son.
Mindful of these national supply issues, we have advised that the minimum timeframe for arranging medication has been temporarily extended to 72 hours, I apologise if this was not advised to you, and you expected the medicine to be able to be collected in under this timescale.
Hopefully, the issues will settle down with some country-wide temporary arrangements, such as the British Army being involved in national supply chains, and you will have more timely arrangements in the future.
Kind regards

Reckless and Careless

On two separate occasions I have been given “Blank Prescriptions” from the Practise. Directly by the GP. These have a financial cost to the NHS and are similar to a blank cheque in the wrong hands. If these blank prescriptions got in the wrong hands or in the hands of a vulnerable patient they could file and obtain whatever medications they desired. Reckless and careless behaviour that could result in causing someone serious harm. Had no alternative but to inform the CQC

Thank you for providing this feedback on the situations you encountered - it would had been helpful to know more about the situations so that we could have worked with you on an investigation rather than just posting brief details on this site. It would be very unusual to be able to issue \'blank prescriptions\' as you detail as the vast majority of scripts are electronic direct to a pharmacy, so more details would have been very helpful to understand the exact circumstances.
We always try and learn from any situation that is not ideal, and it would have been good to have been able to run our standard learning event process with your assistance. If you would like to assist us further in this process, please do contact me at the surgery and we can use your experience to improve the safety of our patients.
Many thanks in advance of your further help in an investigation as to how this \'blank prescription\' issue may have happened.

I am a hard of hearing patient at campingland surgery and have found the use of mask extremely difficult, but my nurse and doctor have made every effort with see through masks and visors making sure i can see their faces but still keeping myself and them safe and making my visit to the surgery a lot easier

Thank you so much for your feedback on our use of the clear face masks in the surgery environment here at Campingland Surgery.
These were slightly difficult to source at the start of the pandemic, but it is great that we have been able to obtain some, and are obviously happy to use with our hearing impaired or Deaf Community patients. We are also looking at some other enablers for those with hearing difficulties.
Thanks again for taking the time and trouble to feedback on your experiences.

My wife and I have only been registered with Campingland for 4yrs now, our experience has been very good . Reception staff are sympathetic and all Doctors are excellent ; I think that in these difficult times one cannot expect to see the same Dr. every time, more important to get the return phone call or visit

I have been registered at this gp for 27 years, I have never had any issues in obtaining appointments, if I have ever required an on the day appointment I have never been denied, all reception staff are efficient and caring, at present the gp team they have currently consist of well knowledgeable person centered professionals. I have had amazing mental health support recently the gp I saw helped me tremendously she’s a credit to the surgery. The dispensary team are all lovely and quick at dealing with patients in an effective manner. No faults can be said apart from I think the surgery could do with abit of make over but during this current time as long as we’re safe and services are accessible then I’m satisfied.

Dear Miss B
Thank you every so much for your kind review and the five star rating. Its really good to understand that you have received great service over the years, and your recent experiences have been so good.
You are indeed right that the surgery could do with a bit of a makeover - unfortunately, we are situated in a 1960\'s building which is somewhat showing its age. We had hoped to get some improvements done under some centrally funded schemes, but these have been cutback with the pandemic and its consequences. Hopefully, the refresh that we are able to implement in the next few months will meet with your approval.
Thanks again for your kind words and rating.

Tries to pressurise you to have covid vaccine

Submitted by Anonymous13th March 2021
Nurse tried very hard to pressurise me to have covid injection. She was extremely intrusive in to my reasons for not wanting the injection and made me feel very uncomfortable and pressurised, keep going on about how thousands have died etc etc. Campingland does not have the right or mandate to attempt to force people in to having the covid injection. Suggest practice staff have a refresher on 'informed consent'.

Dear Anonymous
Please accept our apologies if you felt your right to choose had been compromised in respect of the freedom to choose not to have the available Covid vaccinations.
The message we are giving our patients , along with all other GP Surgeries across the UK, together with all arms of the NHS, is one which has been formulated by Public Health England.
Please do not feel aggrieved that the surgery was robustly communicating this message in line with Public Health England/Central Government mandated requirements - but I certainly do also recognise your valuable personal freedom of choice in not having the Covid vaccination.

Altered my patient care summary

Has not given me any information I have requested
The reception are dreadful
As are the majority of the doctors and the practice manager
This practice is not fit for purpose
I had one receptionist rude over the phone twice in one day and one receptionist didnt book my arrival even tho i checked in was left in cold cold 7 months pregnant with a one month old for an hour
I am new to the area and have recently registered with this surgery. I have had my new patient check with a nurse, which was great. I have also got an appointment with the GP due to the complexity of my health issues. All good so far and the staff have been very pleasant too.
