The staff attitude is marvellous, everyone you see is great but the turn over of Doctors is high so as soon as you get one you get on well with they leave. They do not get a chance to know you. I got a text a while back saying who my new named doctor was, my old one left 6 years ago! Dr Funnell has been here a while and he is very good.
If you ring at 8 you can be in the phone queue for 20 minutes and then get cut off. You then get called back by a doctor to decide if they will see you in person. If a doctor tells you to book a blood test for 6 weeks time, you go to reception to book it and they can't do it that far in advance so it means a long wait on the phone or a trip here to book it in a fortnight's time, that just doesn't make any sense. I think the booking system lets them down.
I do appreciate the pressure they are under and that the NHS is underfunded. They are doing the best they can.

We are sorry you have had difficulties in getting through on the telephone. Call waiting times are monitored throughout the day and staffing levels are reviewed at regular team meetings to plan for cover where possible.
We have also reviewed our appointment availability to try to improve our patients experience and are now able to offer more face to face appointments.

It's in a handy location and I normally get what I need. I find the staff helpful and it's pretty good. It just works. It could be easier to see a doctor, it is a bit of a wait.

Staff are nice

A few years ago I would of given them 5 stars but not anymore.
The staff are always very pleasant especially the reception team.
I just do not feel looked after here anymore, I keep myself fit and look after my health and only try and get an appointment when I feel I really need to, but last time I tried I was told I couldn't see a doctor as they have very ill patients. I was given medication over the phone which made me very ill, I just wanted to see someone face to face. I am lucky the pharmacist next door is so good as she looks after me and I always go there now.

Doctors are great

The doctors are great and the surgery offers a good range of services, but the appointment system lets it down. I phoned to day to see if my appointment was today or tomorrow, I was 2nd in the queue, after a 30 minute wait I decided just to come down and find out, turns out my appointment is tomorrow!

I have no problems here, it's a good surgery. If you could also have your COVID vaccines here as well as flu it would be even better.

The prescription service works well for me

The prescription picking up service works well for me. I get appointments as I need them and it's all good. Sometimes I need something at the weekend and it would be good if there was at least someone to talk to at the weekend.

It can be difficult to get an appointment

Everybody is lovely but it can be difficult to get an appointment. You queue on the phone and there is sometimes a queue at reception. Today the automatic check in isn't working. I had a routine appointment today and that went well.
