So supportive and warm

Hands down the best birth out of all my three, they were just so supportive and warm. I had a planned C-section and I was on my own, I felt like they surrounded me to make sure it was a positive experience. The anaesthetist was amazing, they went above and beyond. The theatre team were amazing - they reassured me and talked me through each step of what was happening. I also couldn't fault them back on the ward, they were great and very attentive. I had my blood pressure taken daily in the MAU too and they were always lovely.
My GP referred me for an MRI, for a suspected medial ligament and meniscus tears. I never received any contact from the hospital. When I followed up with the GP, the hospital had written to the GP cancelling this requirement, claiming they had written to me and called me. This is not the case, I received no letters and no calls. My contact details are correct, which I have checked.
I am very annoyed with this, my knee is now significantly worse. It has now effected my other knee and both are injured. I can no longer exercise, which is very important to me as I have a kidney disease and need to stay fit.
This is not the first time something similar has happened. Prior to covid I went through a series of very painful checks for another problem, only to receive a letter that I had not attended my appointments and my treatment was cancelled. Again, this was not true, I went to all appointments. I gave up on the process, and live with the pain.
It is very upsetting, that there appears to be a lack of care about these things and basic administration seems to fail. It comes across as staff can't be bothered and it's easier to take people off waiting lists rather than help them. I guess it helps the hospitals stats. It makes you want to give up on trying to get help, and give up on the NHS
Was referred for worrying issues with bowels. Had a bit of a nightmare getting an appointment after my referral was sent but as soon as it was pencilled in the process was very smooth. Friendly staff, clean, respectful overall. Was kept waiting for a colonoscopy in little more than a gown in the corridor for 2 hours without being told anything but this was in fairness because of what I was informed was a very problematic and urgent care scenario that I don't think is fair to criticise the staff on having to prioritise. No details beyond this were shared which is again I think very appropriate handling and I was at no time in distress. The entire process otherwise was remarkably pleasant considering obvious circumstances. Procedure was undertaken professionally and with little pain and recovery was swift and pleasant. Anaesthetic was offered but I declined for very particular comfort reasons and did not regret this at all. Staff were attentive, conversational, respectful, and friendly. I was not released without a proper review, which was extremely quick while remaining thorough. Waiting time aside, extremely positive and glad to say my diagnosis was swift, accurate, and immediately actionable. Thank you.
Sleep service in particular have been very responsive despite complicated situation. Have a regular specialist who I trust, even if he is a bit blunt to the point of seeming quite rude sometimes! I actually very much appreciate this however as he has been proactive with my care and truly knows what he is talking about, so full marks personally.
Old age relative seen in A+E by someone calling themselves a "clinician". This immediately rings alarm bells.
This person felt they were qualified to discuss CPR with my relative who has dementia, and said it was really her decision as it is a "medical decision". On prodding she admitted she wasn't actually a doctor but a practitioner. I still don't know what their actual role is and who regulates them..GMC?? NMC?? To whom do I complain?
My relative was then examined by a consultant but my concern is that this person tried hard to conceal her role as not a doctor. It made me worried about their trustworthiness.
The hospital needs to ensure that patients have a quick and easy way to differentiate between doctors and others involved in their treatment without having to ask 3 times for their job role and their regulator!!

I have used A&E, the fracture clinic, Radiology and Physio and all the services have been brilliant. All the staff have always been very friendly. Even in A&E I was in and out within 4 hours, and the after care I received was good too. The only thing they could do a bit better in A&E is keep you a bit more informed about what will happen next and a rough waiting time, people react a lot better if they know what is going on. Car parking can be hard, the car park does not show it is full so you just have to drive round and some people just parked on the end of rows not in spaces, which makes it hard to get round it.

I find everyone kind and helpful, everyone is very pleasant and lovely. I was in there for 10 hours front start to finish. They were very busy but I felt looked after. They got me water when I needed it and they booked in the follow on appointment here in radiology.

I have to come every 6 months and I feel they really look out for me, they check on my medication regularly. The staff are lovely and friendly, they put you at ease. They help you feel comfortable when you are in a situation where you could feel exposed.

This department is very efficient, always get seen quickly, sometimes before my appointment time. I have always had a good experience in this hospital, even when you can see they are under pressure and apologising they are still efficient. They could do with more toilets.

Everywhere is clean and everyone is friendly, a smile goes a long way. My appointment was at 10.15 I was called in at 10.20 and out by 10.30. Because of my mobility it can be difficult to sit at the machine, but the staff were nearby and considerate.
