I had a total knee replacement and the whole experience was marvellous. Mr Mann explained everything thoroughly and I had plenty of time to ask any questions. I can not praise them enough. All of the staff were superb. I did have quite a wait for the operation but I have no complaints whatsoever.
I was meant to have a procedure in February but it got changed and then cancelled because of COVID. But I had a letter recently and I'm going in next week. I've been in for my pre-op which went well, there was clear advice about self-isolating before the main operation.

Good cancer care during COVID

Good cancer care, I had video calls during COVID and have also attended in-person clinics which have been well managed. My husband's treatment was pushed back a bit but they've been good with communicating with us. He has had phone calls and in-person blood tests.

My cancer care seemed really integrated and well-funded. Mental health support via cancer care was really easy and timely to access. I also had a really good cancer nurse

I was referred to Cromer hospital for an appointment in the 3-9-2020 .i have just been told by the booking department it has been downgraded to a telephone consultation the appointment was for the gastroenterology/hepatology department I simply cannot see how anyone could get information on a person by telephone and to make matters worse I don’t drive my daughter has had to book a day off work and I had to book a day off to which is hard to do when you work in retail and your schedules are done 3 weeks in advance I would like an explanation as to how the doctor can find out anything about my anemia over the phone I’m am absolutely livid about this

My nearly 3 year-old had an EEG today performed by Briony, she was amazing.
She is a credit to the Hospital and the NHS.

Thank you so much for your feedback and kind words. During a time of increased stress and pressure just knowing that you have made a small difference to someone makes it all worthwhile.
Would it be possible to send us your daughters details and the date of the appointment so that we ensure that this feedback is given directly to Briony.
With kind regards.

Absolutely disappointed in my treatment

I have been under rheumatologist department for years due to having arthritis and antiphospholipid syndrome, I attended an appointment just before lockdown began, upon arrival i overheard my consultant say to the receptionist how many people have cancelled today, the receptionist replies everyone except 2 patients that are already, ( this was very early in the morning) of which she replied what is wrong with these people and walked away frustrated. ( now I would not have attended if I was fine, I genuinely went along to my appointment as I was and still am in extreme pain ) . When I went in for my appointment I was greeted with such rudeness and was told that all my problems were due to my weight ( I am only A size 10 so not exactly over weight) and also told that she didn’t really have time for me as bigger things were going on, I explained the issue I was having with my hip and leg concerned it may be to do with my a.p.s only to be told you need to join weight watchers, consultant swiftly got out of her chair and was showing me out the door I asked when my next appointment will be and she says I’m taking you off my books now as we have to much to deal with.... I am absolutely disgusted by my treatment after all these years of fantastic doctors I ended up being pushed out by a very rude nasty consultant. I am utterly disappointed in this whole situation.

A most caring hospital

My husband sadly died at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital last year and neither he nor our family could have been treated with more care and compassion. He was put in a spacious single room before his death and opening an eye fixed it upon me saying: "Level with me, how much are you paying for this?"
We have not found the N and N to be patient focused, some of the nursing care has been extremely poor on the medical wards, there is a dire lack of therapy input to my husband who had a serious stroke 7 years ago and who has limited mobility They cite lack of physio and OT staff well then the managers should get on and recruit more
He has acquired pressure sores and infections in past admissions after inadequate nursing and medical care, with lack of proper assessment and interventions that should have happened Each time we have made complaints and have been told lessons will be leant it our opinion that doesn’t happen Unfortunately as this is our only hospital he has no choice but he would not willing want to go in there again As both of us have been clinicians in the NHS we know what standards of care should be and whilst we will acknowledge good care where it occurs equally when it is poor the clinicians will be told about it so hopefully they can improve I also have not found PALS to be any help whatsoever
My child has had fantastic care and the staff are great. Due to my child's disabilities I am very anxious about the transition to adult services , which should happen very soon. There needs to be more information about any staff in the hospital who are trained to support patient's with learning disabilities and/or on the autistic spectrum. Parents or carers should be made aware of the help available in the hospital , especially in preparation for transferring to a different consultant.
