This is a good practice. It would be nice to see a doctor face to face as I was concerned about my leg but I was able to send a picture and I saw the nurse the next day. Not all people are able to take photos and send though.

Thank you for your positive feedback on our staff. To confirm We are booking face to face appointments, in particular if patients are unable to send a photo a F2F will be offered.
For those that are able to send in photos, this is a quicker’ more efficient way to get treatment as it helps the team direct you to the right person in practice, this is. It always a GP. This is reflected in you getting a next day appointment for your condition, we were able to offer you a quick solution.

The staff are good and caring. Sometimes I need to be a little bit forceful to get what I want but otherwise it is good.

Thank you very much for your kind words about our staff. I am sorry that you feel that you need to be forceful to get what you want from the practice. The staff are all trained in active sign posting, and sometimes the best person to see is not always whom the patient expects, this can seem that you are not getting what you want from the staff.. The ultimate aim for all our staff is to direct to get the best outcomes for the patient using the most effective route.

I moved to this practice having moved home. I have on half a dozen occasions needed help and advice. Have received excellent treatment from nursing staff, nurse practitioner and doctors. Did not need to see a doctor, face to face, so very happy to receive phone call. The receptionists seem excellently trained and are very pleasant, a far cry from my last surgery.

Mistakes and false promises

I have had a few different reasons for needing to see a doctor or midwife in the last 6 months and every single time the practice has made mistakes, given me false promises or kept me waiting for an unduly long time.
Their procedure for booking an appt is not patient-friendly, and the staff are arrogant and rude.
I do not recommend them.

Dear SF
Thank you for your feedback and we are very sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the service you have received from the surgery. We take all feedback and concerns seriously and aim to learn from them. I believe I have received a letter from you on this matter, which I will investigate and respond direct in due course.
Thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience.

Patient support

The support for patients after a consultation with a doctor is seriously below par. I have been waiting over a year for my son to have an operation which I understand, with the pandemic is the same with a lot of families and I do not dispute the need to wait. However after calling multiple hospital numbers with no success and receiving our last hospital letter April 2020 the surgery has shown me no support in trying to find out the plans for my son. After having. X rays and Calling 2 weeks later to find results the hospital had not sent thrmt through to the doctor's. Which I then again had to call multiple times to chase down the hospital myself to get them to my doctors. Then calling a few days later to say my results were in but not seen by a doctor yet. I call back almost a week later and my results are still sitting at the doctor's waiting to be looked at. I am in constant pain and and extremely depressed and feel as though my doctors surgery do no care about me or my family.
I have recently been dealing with both an ongoing and relatively minor health issue and also a more recent and acute problem involving surgery and ongoing treatment. Despite not being my registered GP, Dr Huckle has been outstanding in his support and level of care. He has gone above and beyond the service I would expect from any GP and I think that should be recognised.
I have been consulting via email for a routine condition. The doctor decided a face to face consultation was necessary to decide on a possible referral to EN&T. I tried on 2 occasions about a week apart to get an appointment. the first time I was told that there was no availability within the doctor's schedule and told to call back the following Friday. I did so and was told that the doctor was on leave and there was no information available in order to book appointments and it was unknown the length of leave! I asked that if I called a week later if the schedule would be available and was told that it was unknown.
I used this service satisfactorily for repeat prescriptions until I had to change my e-mail address due to a technical problem with the address provider. Patient Access were totally useless - their Help/Support department doesn't provide help - it needs it. Now use the Surgery website instead.
I contacted the surgery to request a chat with a doctor because of the pain I was getting on a daily basis, this resulted in a call from a clinician however I did get a call from a doctor who tried to push me into. having statins when I said I don't want them he persisted in trying to get the reason why. I finish up hanging up on him
