  Great staff, I get regular appointments. The online services are helpful and easy to use. It would help me if I could block book appointments, due to my need for B12 boosters every two months. At the moment, I have to call and try and book appointments two weeks before my jabs.

• Three different doctors in 24 hours

  Had a lot of contact with the surgery over the past two weeks. My mother fell ill, and had to be seen. Never see the same doctor, she saw three different doctors in the space of 24 hours.

  Courteous, polite, reactive. All round good service, can't fault it. Only issue, one patient toilet has been out of service for at least three months.

  Dear Lorna Thank you so much for your kind words and rating. As regards the patient toilet, the two toilets have had 4 separate issues over the last few months, two which were down to patient behaviours, and two which were mechanical issues. We always try and call a plumber, deep cleaner or maintenance engineer out immediately we are aware of any issue - sometimes it can take a few days for them to attend. For the 4 separate issues, there was always the alternative patient toilet available, and no one fault took over 4 days to rectify. Thank you again for your kind words. Ian Wilson Practice Manager

  I got pneumonia two years ago, the doctor was absolutely fantastic, I wouldn't have survived without him. He wouldn't let me drive to the hospital alone, and ensured transport was arranged. Very Happy.

  My husband is usually very healthy but has had a variety of problems in the last 3 months that have entailed emergency GP and eye clinic appointments. I found it easy to get same day appointments when I explained his symptoms. One day he was particularly ill with a fever and I rang and was told to bring him in 30 minutes. (Found to have two different infections) Couldn't have been better.

• Booking routine appointments is difficult

  It is extremely difficult to book routine appointments here at the practice as they will only book so far ahead and there calendar is unable to book anything longer. Then you have to wait for them to release more appointments and they don't seem to release enough. On this one occasion it took me 8 weeks to get an appointment. This is just unacceptable if like me, you need to be regularly seen by a doctor it's a nightmare. Once you have an appointment the care you receive is brilliant, but it's getting in that is the issue. I have complex health needs and so I have to see the same GP all the time which makes booking regularly even harder, as they will say you can see this person but I can't as I have to see my GP. The doctor was furious with me last time asking me why I had left it so long seeing him but I just couldn't get in. I have recently stopped home visits and have been with support getting to the surgery so thought I'm really helping but it's just so difficult. Can you not put something in place to look to address this for those that need routine appointments booked further ahead?

  Dear anonymous - thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that it took so long to book an appointment - Our GP's do tend to take Annual Leave to be with their families during the school holidays, but that is still much longer than I would have expected a wait to be. I would mention that the GP you need to see regularly has always the ability to book you in directly to see them for review, using a 'Doctor's request' slot. This ensures that those patients who need a regular appointment with the same GP can get what is needed. I can only apologise if the particular GP you see has not used that before - please ask if your condition is appropriate for use of this 'Doctors Request' protected appointment.
